The players unknowingly awaken an ancient army. Viewable by all, yet unseen by the players, people flee in fear of the marching army of spirits on the path to a major walled city. On arriving at the city the players cannot figure out why the gates are closed, the towers are manned and on the defensive - from them...

As long as any can remember, these certain paths allowed one to travel up to and over 20 extra miles a day by using them. One moment one was deep along a small trail, the next he would find himself 20 or more miles farther down the path without realizing it. All was fine until recently. Reports returned talking of the failure of these areas which revealed miles of ancient paths. The protection hiding them has finally failed. Will it release monsters of ages past or reveal magic of unknown worth?

Because of this the culture believes in a death walk for those that are getting near natural death, whether it be from oldness or some kind of terminal sickness. They are to leave the home and go through the Death Gate into the Sullen woods where they spend the last days of their life. Once they pass through Death Gate they are never allowed to return. But having a death gate in your own backyard may create more problems then it solves.

The entire city is in an uproar. Two factions proudly identify themselves to each other by wearing red or white scarves or handkerchiefs on their bodies in plain site, or hanging them from their place of business identifying themselves and their belief. Apparently a very respected high priest of the local religion has recently disappeared and so has the entire church coffers leaving it penniless. A city divided on the possible guilt of the missing.

An elderly woman beggar is found at the site of a murder of a very wealthy store owner. For lack of other suspects and the town's outcry for quick justice, the corrupt justice system quickly condemned her and sentenced her to public execution. As she was tied to the stake and the fire started below her she shouted words that would haunt the city until her death avenged.

Schaak is a well built peddler that always seems to have just what is needed at the moment. He is a high powered mage that has given up adventuring and much magic for a more medial, yet rewarding existance.

A well worn plain staff made from oak. Gives who holds it the power to track as a wolf.

A small group of cannibals has started roaming farther out from their remote home and have come into contact with some farms.

Grothar's oxen driking horn has an ornate silver encasement over the bottom half of the horn. The horn will turn saltwater into the finest dwarven ale.

The original armor of King Inturt. Was lost to him on a long past campaign when he was captured by his enemy. When rescued they couldn't find his armor or weapons. If found, he would pay a hefty ransom for its return. Sentimental value.

A full suit that can absorb one magic spell at a time. When a spell is cast at the wearer the armor sucks up the spells affects and stores them until the wearer directs them somewhere else.

Fullick is one of three leaders of the Black Hand Rogues Guild. He has been posing as a noble since he joined the guild and it has gone to his head. He acts the part at all times much to the amusement of other guildmembers. Nobody would mock him to his face though since he is a master swordsman trained by the best nobility could afford.

Fist sized diamond made famous by the thief Tolky. Stole the ‘rock’ from the Archmage Olikan and made it famous when his hidden thief’s den was found and destroyed by Olikan. The rock was never found though and Olikan searches for it to this day.
