The original LAbyNite game started as a yahoo group BB game, and it mixed Vampire the Masquerade and The Fast and the Furious. There was a mix of cars, guns, violence, sex, street life and the underground worlds of both criminals and of the undead. That game ended some years ago, and there was been an interest in reviving/rebooting it. The following are going to be some flagpole ideas for the new game and revised setting.
In the Cosmic Era, there is one thing that has grown with the advent of arcanotech and hypertech, the gap between the wealthy and destitute. While nations are building space stations and starting terraforming projects on other planets, there are large sections of planet Earth that are still post apoc era.

The holovids are full of stories about mecha garrisons bravely battling dastardly pirate raiders. It's a pretty picture for the propaganda films, but its a long way from the truth of the pirate raids.
A series of singers and strummers, summarily simple and sinuous, subsisting with singularly spectacular song-stylings.

The Odaneimo Mountains aren't exactly the sort the bards talk about, they dont tear at the sky or trip the gods. They are still tall enough that you just can't go hiking over them. There are just two passes through them, Oshen Pass down in the south, and Zoran pass, in the north. It would be worth a pretty penny if someone could find a middle pass through.
Diad, Teamsters Guild-boss

While sailors with an eye for gold can salvage the tusks of the bull elephant for a hefty price, the raft is haunted by the spectral ghosts of the pod of elephants and they appear after nightfall and attack and kill anyone trespassing on their raft
