? Quest

When you are under siege, you have nothing but time. But the abundance of time is just as much of a weight as the enemy outside the gates. It is time for the Citadel to develop a creative Stimulus Package to support the Strolenati during this unique time. After no deliberation and no votes, the following will be the procedures followed through the the Citadel Stimulus Quest. (Subject to change, amendment, and adjustment as needed.)

  • Every Monday a minimum influx of $40 will be added to the Stimulus Package to keep the Creative Citadel Economy out of a Recession.
  • The Stimulus Package will accumulate $40 weekly until there are 5 unique author submissions.
  • Authors can write as many submissions as they like and each will be considered on their own merits.
  • On the Sunday after the 5 author requirement is met, the 5+ submissions by 5+ authors will be weighed and measured by the Strolenati.
  • Whomever is determined as the winner(s) will receive funds (as determined by the Strolenati) that have collected in the Stimulus Package.
  • On Monday, if winners were awarded, the Stimulus Package will be re-established at $40 and the quest will restart.
  • The quest will continue in this cycle until such a time that the Strolenati Council has deemed the siege over.
Current Stimulus Package: $40
Next Update: Jul 13
Contributors: Strolen, Murometz

Round 1 completed May 10: 7 Weeks - $280 in Stimulus reserves. Since it was the first round, and the amount was enough to pass around, we decided everyone who took the time deserved something. So sayeth the Strolenati.

Round 2 completed July 6: 8 Weeks - $340 in Stimulus reserves. Incresed funding and a stabilized creative force has allowed some increases in most awards. So sayeth the Strolenati.

Predatory Music

PMs come in two kinds. Predatory Hymns and Predatory Songs they look exactly alike, visually they appear as 4" high two dimensional music notes that are blue and floating in the air.

Hymns are created when a cleric is slain singing to or with a congregation. They drift on the wind, floating glyphs of angry. They will suround a group of good adventurers and act like a bless and will dissipate after d6 weeks.

Songs are created when a bard is slain by magic. These are even more angry and will engulf spell casters, giving them a 40% spell failure, they are killed by a dispel magic or 50 points of melee damage(AC= Plate and Shield)

Feathered Brain Parasites

The products of a EHP's expairement, thees immoral creatures are a true threat to civilization. They are spread like HIV but are true sentients that take over the mind of any creature, which then sprouts feathers that are both antennae and cooling veins. The base creature can now cast invisibility 3/day. they reproduce fanaticly and are thrill seekers. The base creature will act mostly like they did before but more violent. It is unknown that they are actually a hive.

Hive Orcs

Hive Orcs are trained in a unique way.6-8 of them are raised as if they were one being. The game effect of this is that the group shares hit points in the way a swarm does, each 12 points of damage reduces the number of attacks they get by one as they get 1 attack per Orc min 3.

iNear Sky Being

NSS come into existence when an elven spirit comes into a cloud. The resulting creature is true neutral and hungry for the life essence of sentient beings. It attacks for d3 CON damage, killing foes when they get to zero CON. They also cause regular damage. Due to there cloud like nature, they take 3 less damage per hit of physical damage. They will be satiated by the life essence of 3 individuals.

Friend Slayer Cobra

This snake has a highly unusual venom. If poison save is failed, the subject makes a melee attack on the thing(other than the cobra) that it can reach. The venom is highly sought after , resulting in the cobra's near extinction.
