Braggu By: EchoMirage
They are the menace of the borderlands, travelling with their herds paths they used for millenia, and razing any signs of civilization in the process. When the winter is especially harsh or the summer unusually dry, they descend upon the heartlands of kingdoms like a plague, more a natural disaster than an enemy. |

Dark Gnomish Evil or how to improve a hopeless race By: EchoMirage
Whether in pencil-and-paper, or on the computer (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale), we've been plagued by the gnome stereotype of foolish inventor and chaotic law-infringing businessman. I guess it's time to change that. I've decided to throw a bone: help me make the gnomes a race worth featuring in an RPG. |

Steamery - A type of magic By: MoonHunter
Steamery is a type of learning, like Magery and Lettery (Magic of Written words, Scholarly works), akin to Alchemy which combined elements of the two. It is considered a type of magic, the use of the four basic elements to produce 'magical' power. |

Kythrythe - People of the Insect God By: MoonHunter
The Kythrythe are a different kind of people. Given their worship of the Insect God Kythrellemen, they are more than just Humans. These people, except for their eyes, will be normal people at first glance. Some might be quite big or small or graceful, but they look like people. At second glance you will notice their small antena peeking out from their hair. Every now and again, you will see one that has been "blessed" by the God and granted "Marks of the God", insect like physical abilities. |

The Elves of Zetacron By: svincent
On Zetacron, the nature goddess Gaia did not create the elves, but wished to claim them as Her own (it seemed fitting to her, somehow, that elves should be bound to Nature). Thus, she used her divine powers to create a bond between Herself and the elves. |

Unique Magic Items By: manfred
Magic is a strange power, that can be harnessed (or not?), but never fully understood. Magic should be unique. Magic could be REALLY unique on this one world... |

Runecasting - Dwarven Magics By: manfred
It is said that dwarves have problems with using magic (maybe they cannot cast spells at all). This is an attempt to create a distinctly dwarwen school of magic. The way you use it is of course yours. |

The Tired Traveler's Tavern Guide (new with alliteration) is the beginning of a compilation of taverns and tavern resources for travelers of all realms, should as they need a place to rest or munch. The Closed Fist and Open Palm Tavern By: Spark
A closed fist and an open palm can solve all problems, at least according to the Jack of Irons. If you walk into this tavern, you might just receive both. |

the Daruni Lands By: CaptainPenguin
Arshii'j Daru is the capitol of the empire of the Daruni, a jungle state lying to the south of the Holy Land, and home of a staunch Qoruxi state. Waves of invaders have enriched the culture and history of the state and created a powerful kingdom capable of withstanding both the assault of the Qoruxi raiders of the Holy Land and the assault of the Meixingu Holy War. |

When Gamers go BAD! #2 Roleplayers By: MoonHunter
Every kind of gamer has the dark potential to disrupt the game if they take their natural interests to extremes. Roleplaying, taken to extremes, can destroy a campaign for a troupe just as easily as any power gamer, rules lawyer, or munchkin. |

Authentic LARP 2: Taverns and Brawls By: MoonHunter
A standard roleplaying environment: the tavern. This is another easy one to create in your own home, providing you have a large enough group of roleplaying friends. Let us assume your PC group is no larger than five, and that the rest of your friends can be NPCs. Let us also aim for an exceptionally seedy and unscrupulous city tavern. |

Authentic LARP 1: Cavern Systems By: ephemeralstability
In a good LARP it is desirable to separate the players out individually at some stage, because they are more suggestible and afraid when they are alone. Some form of individual challenge is probably the best way of doing this. One possible setting for this is a cave system, and it is probably one of the easiest to recreate realistically, and one of the most perfect for playing on fears of claustrophobia and darkness. |

Music during a game By: ephemeralstability
Although it can be a distraction, it can also add atmosphere to an adventure to have music playing in the background. Here are some pieces I'd recommend for different situations. |
