Slavina Plate

By:

Gold and silver full plate mail with the soul of a Slavina General trapped inside.

Gold and silver full plate mail with the crest of the Ancient Slavina army on the chest. A red silk cap hangs off the back.

The soul of a Slavina General is trapped in this plate mail. He was the General of a great army that won many battles. Unfortunately, on the way home from one of his battles an old mage found him and cursed him to forever be involved with war. The General laughed and rode away, that night when he tried to take his armour off it would not come off. From that day on he had to wear the armour until his death 20 years later. Upon his death his soul was trapped in the armour.

Magical Properties:

The fighter who wears this armour can speek with the general and the general will help the fighter out if he is of good alignment otherwise the general will only lie and harse the fighter until he removes the armour.

If the user is of good nature the armour adds zero encumbrance otherwise encumbrance is the same for full plate. During battle only the most powerfull weapons can penatrate the armour.

Maybe, if the player has gotten himself in deep enough excrement, the general will possess him and help him win his fight. Maybe, also, there is now a way to free the general (and maybe even bring him back to life).

Why did the mage curse him? Just cause he wanted to? Or was the mage the head of the army opposing the Slavina Army?

Could have been a mage who was neutral whose tower or home was destroyed by the war.

Now this is an interesting idea, one that I will have to elaborate on since I dont think Nimblefinder is active any longer.

Swordbiters are parasites. They are long, thin and silver, and digest metal, somewhat like rust monsters, but smaller and more insidious. They resemble stick insects, but when they cling to metal they are very well camouflaged, and one can be biting your sword for a week before you notice it. They cannot be removed by hand, as they are very strong, but if the blade is inserted into fire they will leap off to escape the flames. Sometimes, old treasure hoards are infested with them, and the first glimpse you get of the "glittering" weapons is a pile of rusted swords encrusted with these thin silvery insects.
