Long ago, when what is now the country of Vallermoore was split amongst seven constantly warring kingdoms, a master smith created a magical suit of armour for each of the kings in the Infernal Forge.

Suit of Pride

The Suit of Pride is a fine suit of plate armour with a thin layer of rolled gold upon the iron that protects it from rust. The good side of the suit of Pride is that it gives benefits to the charisma and bravery of the wearer. The bad side is that the wearer becomes impetuous, unpleasant and demanding and feels that he or she can do no wrong. At the moment the suit is in the armour collection of Queen Yocasta after it's last owner, the King of Karneval, lost a battle in Bleak Vale, The Field of 10,000 Skulls after he charged out at the head of a regiment and got too far ahead of the rest of the army, losing his life in the process.

Suit of Sloth

The Suit of Sloth is a fine suit of black enamelled plate armour with a surcoat studded with silver stars. The good side of the Suit of Sloth is that the wearer can sleep anywhere, even without a bed or bedding, and wake refreshed and with his or her wounds fully healed a few hours later. The bad side is that the wearer gets extremely listless and lazy. At the moment the suit is somewhere in the Gygaxian Gyre, A Five Room Dungeon after it's last user used it's powers too often, got too lazy to fight well and was slain.

Suit of Greed

The Suit of Greed is a fine suit of plate armour with a layer of gleaming gem-quality diamonds embedded in it. The good side of the Suit of Greed is that it's owner comes up with all kinds of legal or semi-legal ways to make money and can get extremly rich even by knightly standards. The bad side is that the owner become consumed with a need to steal, betray, do anything to get more wealth. At the moment it is worn by a leader of The Regulators who urges his crew to bring in more and more money.

Suit of Wrath

The Suit of Wrath is a fine suit of blood red enamelled armour.  The good side of the Suit of Wrath is the great bonus to combat that it gives to it's owner. The bad side is that the wearer becomes extremely bad tempered and likely to get into a fight, possibly a deadly one, even with his or her friends over even tiny problems. At the moment the armour is in the personal armour collection of the sinister Baron Trotha but he very rarely uses it's powers, not wanting to lose his temper.

Suit of Lust

The Suit of Lust is a fine suit of  gleaming mithril plate armour with a surcoat of red. The good side of the Suit of Lust is that it's wearer is more likely to be able to seduce a love interest and keep him or her interested and in love. The bad side is twofold-the wearer is less likely to stay faithful, and random people of both genders are more likely to fall in love with the wearer. At the moment the suit is owned by Princess Amelia, Princess of Lovebirds who wants to use it in one of her schemes to create romantic coupledoms.

Suit of Envy

The Suit of Envy is a fine suit of dark green enamelled plate armour with a green surcoat. The good side of the Suit of Envy is that it's  owner will strive to be better in everything-better at swordplay, better at making money, better at everything. The bad side is that it's owner gets jealous, bitter and twisted and will carry out all manner of illegal acts including cold-blooded murder to get ahead. At the moment it's owner is in  The Paul and Peter Fortress serving a long sentence for attempted murder, and the armour has been impounded by the City Guards whilst no less then 30 Lawyers are arguing in court about what should happen to it.

Suit of Gluttony

The Suit of Gluttony is a fine suit of purple enamelled plate armour. The good side of the Suit of Gluttony is that even inedible or downright poisonous foods are rendered edible when it's powers are activated. The bad side is that it's owner gets a desire to constantly eat and drink until they become horribly fat, the armour growing to fit them, and can even eat themself to death if they have a constant food source. At the moment it is buried in the tomb of it's owner, awaiting a grave robber to one day find and loot it.

Game Mechanics

In gaming terms, to use the powers of one of the suits for the first time, roll two dice. On a 5 to 12, you get the good side of the magic of the suit, on a 2 to 4 you get the negative side instead. Each time it is used throw two dice again, but the next time a 2 to 5 gets the negative side, then a 2 to 6, ect. If the magical powers of the suit are not used for a year, it reverts back to what it was like before it's powers were used.
