The sword of the Half-Elven Warrior-Priest Ryhiron. It was forged by the very God whom Ryhiron serves, as a reward for his extended faith and loyal service.
It is especially effective against those who would defile all that is good and relates to its user through his very mood and thoughts.
Some say it speaks to the wielder, whispering a soft song of serenity and peace.

In the Eastern Lands, a son was born,
Blessed by the very morn,
So bright was his inner light,
For faith he would for eternity fight,
I will protect him through the fire,
For guiding him is my truest desire.

The above words are inscribed on the side of Lillafein’s blade, its pledge is all but obvious. It was made to protect and to serve the will of the warrior-priest, Ryhiron, no other may weild it without his pledge.
What God empowered this blade you do not know, but its power seems hidden, its true worth is yet to be realised…

Magical Properties:

Ryhiron uses the blade to channel the wrath of his God, the user cannot cast spells without the blade in his hand.

Darkness’ Bane:
The blade will illuminate dark surroundings and can blind enemies in combat.

Flaming Edge:
With a simple incantation, the blade will burst into flames and set enemies alight.

The Blade’s pledge suggests that it will protect Ryhiron for eternity, it will not willingly let the user die. Its methods of protection are yet to be known.

A fair, average post, Razalic. Though I'd like to note to you that this site is for Roleplayers and especially Game Moderators, and as such, we need detail and the 'hiddens' to be revealed.

"it will not willingly let the user die. Its methods of protection are yet to be known."

Even if you were to post as a side note that 'the method of protection should be unrevealed to the players', it would be good if you could post exactly what this item does.

All in all - Decent item, limited background. Perhaps flesh it out a little?

We're the GMs, not the players.
You don't need to keep secrets from us. In fact, you CAN'T KEEP SECRETS FROM US! WE'RE EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME! WE CAN SEE YOU RIGHT NOW!

All kidding aside- this item needs more fleshing out, more backstory, more 'special-ness', if you understand my meaning. The powers seem alright, not too much.

All in all...

In that case, I'll work on fleshing it out for you guys, the method of protection still eludes even me, so it will take some working out...

Thanks for the feedback

Half-Elven Warrior-Priest Ryhiron

I expect that you will be posting this character in the NPC area sometime soon?
November 23, 2004, 5:10
When I have the time to do so, I'm rather busy at the moment, say Thursday I'll flesh this item out and post my npc.

I had felt the need to describe this item after mentioning it in my freform thread, it was an easy way to give some slight character background until I can work on the actual character sheet, apologies, this is my first item after all.

It can be used to flesh out a paladin's holy sword, though it seems to sit at the border between powerful magic item and Artifact level.

The city was cursed many years ago. Since then it has not stopped raining. The gutters are inhabited by eels and the doors are on the first floor, coated with pitch. On a bad day, you can see the water level rise above the ground floor windows. Carts have both wheels and bladders filled with air to keep them afloat. And yet everyone is surprisingly dry.
