Background: Sir William Frank's origins are unknown as of this report. We are still trying to dig up any information that could shed some light on his childhood and lineage. What we do know is that he was knighted by Duke Henry Melville at age 16 and served under him for 9 years before being released from the Duke's service for being way too overzealous when it comes to combat. He has been living as a Knight Errant looking for quests to embark on and people to help ever since.

After interviewing the Duke, we learned more about his personality. But not his origins as he forgot, which we find extremely hard to believe.

When he was first knighted he performed his duties well and was overall a very nice person to be around. He would perform all tasks given to him and embark on whatever quests he was sent on. All in all, he was a model knight.

However, around age 22 things started to take an unusual turn. He returned from clearing out a bandit hideout located inside an elven ruin but he had a new sword with him. It was a claymore with a series of runes etched into the demonsteel blade. As of now we are unable to translate these runes.

After this happened, Sir. William started to become more eager to fight people. The Duke didn't see anything unusual about this at the time because he still interacted with others just fine and didn't act aggressively when there was no one to fight. But over time Sir. William began to ask the duke if there was anyone that needed to be killed. Deciding to put this newfound courage to use, he sent him off to battle against a rival duke's army as there was some kind of feud between the two at the time.

It was then that things started to become unusual. Sir. William commissioned the best armorsmith in the land to craft him a full set of demonsteel plate armor with an engraving of a man hacking another to pieces with a two-handed sword on the breastplate. While this by itself was not unusual, during one particular skirmish with the rival duke's army, it was reported that he singlehandedly killed 36 of the rival duke's best men. This was so demoralizing that the enemy army retreated.

Because of this he was hailed as a war hero and went on to do the same in three more battles. This was the unusual bit as no one has been able to act like such a one man army before. But the duke went with it for two more years before things became alarming.

When the rival duke finally rode into battle in a massive fight between the two armies, Sir. William against all advise, charged at the rival duke and killed his guards. He then leaped up and cut the rival duke in two. Everyone was flabbergasted at such a gutsy and yet successful move. The alarming part was when the enemy army laid down their weapons in surrender, Sir. William began to kill each soldier one by one. The duke ordered him to stop but he refused and continued killing.

It took 4 of the duke's best guards to subdue him and bring him back to the camp. This was unheard of as the customs of war in this land was to show mercy to an army that surrendered. When asked what on earth was going though his mind at the time, Sir. William responded with by saying he hungered for the blood of the enemy.

Things only got worse from there. Sir. William started developing a bloodlust and would begin to look for people to fight and while he only went after bandits and other villains, things were starting to get out of control. Not a day would pass without Sir. William's blade tasting the blood of someone. When there were no villains to be slain he would start provoking people into challenging him to duels and he would kill them on the field of honor.

This behavior earned him the nickname "Sir. William the Bloodthirsty" and the duke finally had enough when Sir. William turned 25. Unable to handle this knight with a bloodlust, he officially released Sir. William Frank from his service and sent him on his way. The land that he had been awarded was seized and he was left with only his armor, weapons, and warhorse as punishment for his war crime of killing soldiers that surrendered. Sir. William has not returned to the duke's land ever since although he was technically not banished.

Current Status: Sir William Frank roams the kingdom as a Knight Errant killing villains where he can find them and embarking on quests as a mercenary. One could call him a murderhobo. He has been sighted in the land of Ravenshire on a quest to eliminate a bandit gang known as the Crimson Blades. Once this is done we learned he intends to find a group of adventurers to tag along with so he can satisfy his lust for blood.

He can be recognized by his signature suit of armor and claymore. Due to his reputation, certain settlements have blocked him from entering and we honestly don't blame them considering the fact he is technically a war criminal.

Addendum 01: We suspect that the sword he obtained from these elven ruins might have something to do with his newly formed bloodlust. But unless we can analyze it, we cannot know for sure. But the rapid deterioration in his behavior is a sign of being cursed. Though it is not that bad of a curse since he still has a significant amount of control over his actions.

End of line.
