The projector drone allows the operator to project a 3D image of life-like quality with sound and real-time movement. Ideal for personal defense, distraction, and amusement.
The SJI Projector Drone is a small yet powerful drone that turns the sky into your creative canvas easily and without worry, helping you make every moment an aerial moment. Its compact size hides a high degree of complexity that makes it one of SJI's most sophisticated flying cameras ever. 24 high-performance computing cores, an all-new transmission system with a 4.3mi (7km) *range, 5 vision sensors, crystal lenses, and a 4K camera stabilized by a 3-axis mechanical gimbal, are at your command with just a push of your thumb or a tap of your finger.
The projector drone fits comfortable in the palm of your hand. Crafted out of copper and jade, the drone uses a series of crystal lenses to allow the projection of 3D images (illusions) up to two yards away from the drone. The projected image can be no larger than a large dog, and are solely visible and auditory - they have no smell and are completely intangible.
The operator can choose from a variety of pre-selected images or upload their own, and can only use one at a time per device. Due to the delicate nature of the crystal lenses its costs one mote of energy every scene to sustain the image. Each drone has a limit of 5 scenes of continual use before the crystals begin to overheat and burn out. 3 scenes of rest are required to allow the crystal to cool between uses.
Protect items of value with a set of projector drone using the creature image of choice. Drones feature programmable software so you can establish a perimeter for each drone to operate in. Featuring voice and facial recognition software, the drones will only activate when necessary while on patrol.
Use the projector drone to add to the ambiance of social gatherings. For a cocktail party with a nature theme, use the projector drones to create life-like petite deer, rabbits, and other woodland creatures for the splendor of nature without the clean-up.

I love the technical details on this - though of course you have to assume that an image can be projected in this manner.
Would an illusion of empty air where it wasn't work? Can this provide limited stealth to hide things?
I can imagine that hacking these types of drones (for pranks, increased or altered functionality, or espionage) would be pretty prevalent. I like it.
Not to be too gaming minded, but this a great write up for addition to a game world, you got stats, it is useful itean and an item that encourages player creativeity. I really like it.
Cooper and Jade though? Couldn't they use plastics or ceramics and keep the production costs down? ;)
