Background: Gregory Compton was a farmer in the village of Greenbrier. His family was killed when a band of the King's knights was sent to pillage the village for expressing support for a rival monarch. After that, he disappeared but not before one of the knights killed in the chaos was found looted of armor and weapons. The King assumes that he has them. Nothing else is known about his background at all and it is not likely we will find anything more.
Current Status: The King has a 10,000 Gold Bounty on this man for the illegal possession of armor and weapons. However no one has been able to claim it. He was last seen entering the Caverns of the Whispering Warrior. A place in the kingdom that was thought to be inaccessible to anyone. The stone doors to that location are secured with unknown magical wards that prevent anyone from opening them, or so we thought.
Addendum 01: The fact that he was able to access the Caverns of the Whispering Warrior is a mystery in itself. According to the legends of the kingdom, the caverns were sealed 100 years ago by Qriheia, Goddess of Chivalry with an unbreakable seal that could only be removed by a soul deemed worthy by the goddess herself. So the fact that this peasant farmer was able to do just that raises more questions.
The Whispering Warrior was a knight known as Sir. Viliame the Gentle. The full name is unknown and likely lost to time. What is known from the lore surrounding the Whispering Warrior is that he would have never tolerated what the king did to this farmer's village.
When word of this got to back to the king, he was not happy since this means Gergory is basically untouchable now. Not even his best men would be able to breach the caverns. Word of this has also reached the Guild of Technomancers too. So the guild also seeks Gregory Compton for currently unknown reasons.
