The Followers of Gotruis also known as the Watchers of Day -

Gotruis keeps a constant vigil on the populace of Hewdamia and is constantly using them in his struggle for supreme rule over the skies. He is viewed as one of the rising suns in the sky. Gotruis looks to the Gison as the mortals he favors the most. He is at constant odds with his brother Perteum, and while members of each faith respect the other'€™s deity they respect each other accordingly and are often found defending themselves from the others followers. They are more tolerant of the other faith.

Gotruis was one of the original Gods born in the Heavens. He calmed the chaos as the world could begin forming life. Now however, he rarely involves himself in the dealings of mortals feeling they should strive to be better without his intervention. He is withdrawn and reclusive, only involving himself when the other Gods attempt to cause havoc in the world. He is loved and worshiped by many mortals for his gift of peace and law. He is a patient God to those who he sees as being worthy and heavy handed who harm or betray his name. Gotruis is seen as the Law in the Universe, where his brother Perteum is seen as Chaos. He and his brother are in a constant conflict as to what the other does. They are constantly undoing each others plans of what happens in Hewdamia and to the mortals that inhabit it.

Doctrine - The Followers of Gotruis are protective by nature trying to uphold the tenants of Law and Peace. They will normally be in position to affect law and peace, preferably government, law enforcement, or military type of offices.

Major Religious Centers -

Breakdown of the religious Order - The priesthood is extremely informal yet very organized. It consists of three Covens; Apostles, Devoted, and the Watchers. Gotruis'€™s followers do not discriminate the sexes because everyone is seen as having equal worth.

Apostles are a group of followers that are the true Clerics of the religion. They stay in their temples and churches and study and pray and pass the word of Gotruis to those who would listen. They know the hidden secrets of the religion and powers that most thought forgotten. They are strong in their devotional powers, but aloof in their worldly appearance. They will emerge if the need is great, and only if Gotruis wishes them to take part in the events.

Devoted are a large group of followers that travel the world trying to undue all of the other religions work and set the world right, at least what they think is right under Gotruis. They will fight and purge the evils of the world if necessary. Those of this Coven are the ones most likely to fall from grace from the eyes of Gotruis because of the ways that they must learn while living in the outside world. Those that do not fall from grace, often become the Saints of the sect.

Watchers are probably the smallest and most reclusive group of followers that Gotruis has. They sit back and watch silently as the world unfolds before their eyes. The watch, record, and through prayers, report what they see to Gotruis. Rarely will a player character be a Watcher.
