Why is it called the blade of redemption? It seems unapplicable given what it does and its history.
Can we have a few more details on this. If this swords is that ancient, there should be more than one or two stories involving the blade. What does the blade look like. It if is a Godly Blade from a long time ago, it should look like nothing in current production, made of materials either no longer used or unknown to the modern age.
The basic bones of this could be quite good... but it needs explanation.
Remember the Gold Standard: If said item (character, setting) is not as well developed and described as an item (character/ setting) in a fantasy novel (excluding the horrid DnD novels), then the item is not yet done.
Trust me, meeting the gold standard is not that hard.

I guess I will hold my vote back to see if vlad does change it.
Cursed weapons are a staple of fantasy, especially berserker swords. It will not be easy to make an exceptional one.
