Full Item Description
Typically a beautiful piece of navel jewelry, it is a tiny blue gem stud on a metal bar, it can be used in a variety of places; such as on the eyebrow, in the ear, through the tounge, the navel, or the skin between the first and second toe. It has different effects depending on where it is worn. All of them have some sort of positive and negative amplification results.

The Gem:
The magic is in the small blue gem, it is known as Amplinyte and once rained from the sky. It is very rare, and it is said only to appear on the highest mountains after a devastating storm on the night of a full moon every 5000 years.

At most, there could be 15 of these stones in existence. They are very delicate and must be treated with extreme caution. If scratched it will violently explode with a loud pop, injuring those nearby (possibly fatally, especially if worn) and causing ears and eyes to bleed.

The process of getting the most out of these stones is an ancient alchemical recipe, known only to Those of the Highest Order.

I suggest these be found as part of an ancient treasure horde or in use by an interesting NPC that may later be killed and looted.

When worn in:
- The Eyebrow -
When this item is pierced through the eyebrow the wearer can see as far as and with the clarity of an eagle, but anything close up becomes harder to read the longer the stud is worn and is a permanent effect.

- The Ear -
Greatly increased powers of hearing and deciphering garbled noises. Unfortunately, lous noises can cause nausea, headaches and even temporary paralysis.

- The Tounge -
Can identify the ingredients in food or drink to the point of being able to tell if it is poisoned or has some odd element to it. Speech is garbled and hard to understand, effects end when the stud is removed from the tounge.

- The Navel -
When worn in your navel, you can withstand poisons and toxins to a greater extent, but the more you wear it: the more your appetite increases. The drawback is a permanent effect and may cause weight gain.

- The Foot -
If you for some reason decide to pierce the skin between your first and second toe and place this stud in: You will be affected by a decent boost to your walking speed and be able to sprint like a cheetah for short distances. The drawback for this placement is horrendous foot odor, it will last from 5 minutes after insertion until a good scrubbing is applied, but will come back eventually.

It is considered good practice to wash this item at least daily, and especially before inserting into a new location (Foot to Tounge? Eww!)
