7 Non Combat Magical Items
Not all useful magical items have to be either healing potions or weapons to hurt people with. Here are seven magical items that neither hurt nor heal but are still of some possible use.
1-Soulmate Compass
When activated by the local mage or witch, this compass shows you the way to your true love, wherever he or she may be. Be the person be free, a slave, kidnapped or in prison, or even on the other side of the world, this magical compass will point the way to him or her.
2-Sorting Hat
Often used by both local and central governments, this when placed upon someone’s head says what job they would be best at and where the job is, and helps people fit into society so they don’t end up as beggars, bandits or worse.
3-Fixer Wand
It when used, fixes items, be they as simple as broken pots or as complicated as fine suits of armour or strange machines. After the first use, however, the fixing quality goes down by 10% at a time, until the item can no longer be fixed.
4-Truth Orb
Hold this fist size enchanted glass orb and ask someone else a question. If they tell the truth, it glows green, if they tell a lie it glows red and if they tell a half truth it glows amber. Police, judges, lawyers, magistrates, landlords, lawyers, priests and anyone who really hates being lied to carry one of these items.
5-Bumbleroll
A magic word makes this small ball grow large, so someone can roll down a hill in one or use it to cross a lake or other body of water that does not have a strong current. If cut by a blade or anything short it deflates and the owner has to struggle their way out of it.
6-Quell Fire Wand
A magic word activates this and it puts out fires. Small ones can put out a campfire or smaller flames. Large ones are carried by firefighters and can put out a house fire or the fireball that comes from the mouth of a full grown dragon. Very large ones have to be carried by several people and can put out a city block that is on fire.
7-Microphone Wand
When activated by a magic word then someone speaking into this has their words greatly magnified. Political speakers, singers and people calling for help find this wand very useful indeed.
