1. Torovin
Looking every inch the distinguished and gentrified butler, Torovin is a slightly paunchy older man with the beginnings of a second chin, a pencil-thin mustache, and a very fine uniform. Raised and educated in sorcery, dungeoneering, and butlery, Torovin comes from a long line of butlers, long associated with an enormously wealthy and prestigious family. He is properly versed in magic, with some of his notable and exceptional spells including Torovin's Posh Palace (a variant on Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion, Greater Creation, Animate Object, and Teleportation. As the butler of the obscenely wealthy patriarchal family, it is his duty to keep the children safe and entertained, even if that means letting children romp through the upper levels of dungeons, baiting monsters in their dens, and the like. Never exasperated or flapped, Torovin managed to keep complete wontwit children from charting their own demise.
Cadbury, Richie Rich
2. Valmor
More of a refined and dignified man-at-arms, Valmor is the real adventurer's butler. Tall and thin with gray hair and a thin goatee, he is the image of lordly arrogance and cynical disinterest. He has seen battle in wars, horrors that leave others shaking in their boots, and has cared for his current Lord since the boy was a child. As the Lord's caretaker, he has ensured that he is well-armed, well-trained, and well-prepared, including having the best weapons and other gear. As such, Valmor has routinely delved the Gygaxian Gyre on looting missions to equip his charge. What no one knows is that Valmor is functionally a Lord of Terrasquestone-level wizard, has access to the Wish spell, and can do things with Teleportation and the conjuration school of magic based around the Tiny Hut/Magnificent Mansion spells that few can imagine. He is also a master artificer, tailor, and healer.
Alfred Pennyworth, Batman
3. Zalan
Zalan is an overly tall and gaunt man with sallow grey skin and sunken eyes. He doesn't speak and is the personal valet and dungeon butler to the Rabite family of Tir an Scathanna. Currently serving the young Valden Rabite, he ensures his young master remains safe. As far as dungeon butlers go, he is terrible at his job, as he cannot cast even the most rudimentary cantrip. What he lacks in actual magic, he makes up for with manual violence and having a permanent cadre of Unseen Servants. He is also on friendly terms with most dungeon monsters and is generally able to get the monsters to play along with letting the young Rabite think he is a mighty noble adventurer, even though he is really just a deeply introverted weirdo.
Lurch, The Addams Family
4. Fortunado
Fortunado is a senior butler, well past his prime years and even past his sunset years. He's now well into his senile years and is a barely passable dungeon butler. He once had a spellbook of wonder and envy, with other butler heritages green with envy. He was the equal of any dungeon diver or would-be hero and served admirably and with distinction for decades. He was even a soldier for the crown, a procurer of secrets, and fought in several wars. That is all decades in the past, and now many struggle to remember how old Fortunado is, because he has persisted for generations. He is currently in the service of the haughty and abusive Prince Marvelous Arioch, or just Ari.
Woodhouse, Archer
5. Wigmar Stonesworth
Wigmar is a fighting dungeon butler with a saw-toothed buckler, small crossbow, and handy dandy flammable flasks that he throws at foes. He is a bit unhinged as he was trapped inside a dungeon for nearly two hundred years, the dungeon keeping him alive, sometimes dropping him off into a magical sleep, and playing games with him. He is currently looking for employment, but is horribly behind on the times since he was rescued or released from the dungeon. He really isn't sure, and rather plays it off like it was a very long and not very profitable contract he was signed onto.
Codsworth, Fallout 4
6. Zalam Julagat
Julagat is a seemingly inoffensive man of slightly less than average height and build, with sharp eyes, and dark skin. His accent is crisp and flawless Imperial, his attire is flawless, and his wit is sharp enough to cause injury. This is because the stoic gentleman is split-classed into bard and dungeon butler, having access to both spell lists. Zalam is an accomplished butler and is currently in the employ of a great house to both manage their city keep as well as keep an eye and hand ready to take care of their reckless nephew and somewhat naive but magically accomplished son.
Geoffrey Butler, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
7. Bauldir Northerman
Bauldir is a diminutive man, with a shiny bald head, a neatly trimmed mustache, and the ramrod straight back of a professional soldier, which he was. Having been born and raised in an Imperial Remnant State, Bauldir was formally and highly educated, and served as a combat mage in that military service. He is accomplished, and decorated for his actions, and remains a highly skilled archer, spellcaster, and animal handler. Since leaving the military he was taken into the service of a powerful archmage, for whom he is now majordomo of the great manse, the keeper of the Dungeon node on the grounds, and director of all the staff. He looks down on the rambunctious actions of guild adventurers. What really gets on his nerves is that the archmage is very good friends with a Rogue-based adventurer whom he keeps on premises as part of his retainer.
