Most inhabitants of Acqua think of the Trireme of the dammed as a Hell-ship, but that is not entirely the case.

History

The pirates of the Southern Shoals were not as evil of many of their kind.Criminals they were, certainly, and they robbed, murdered and occasionly raped, but they did have certain standards. Small children were exempt from harm, nor did they engage in slave trading as their leader and many of them were once themselves slaves before being rescued.

They took so many ships that the First Shogun of Banhoesea was determined to put an end to their raiding spree, and sent a fleet to blockade and then destroy their home islands, one of the first of the recorded naval campaigns of the De Madden Company.

The heroes find the crumbling, overgrown ruins of what appears to be some sort of grand dining hall in the forest. Deciding that it is a good place to camp, the set up a fire in the center. However, they are woken in the night to see skeletons waltzing in the moonlight to organ music that emanates from the open air. The skeletons touch nobody, dancing around them all night.
