Dusk Cheese
By: Pieh

Dusk Cheese is a naturally occuring lubricant and potent alchemical ingredient.

Full Description
This thick black-gray slime grows around the base of some mushrooms deep underground. It has a texture similar to that of cottage cheese; maybe a tad chunkier. Dusk Cheese is harvested by those who dwell deep underground and used as a spread to flavor breads and, occasionally, meats. Most "Top-Siders" consider it absolutely disgusting.

Additional Information
When specially prepared is can be used in a sheath to help a weapon glide out more easily or even, under certain circumstances, grant someone who ingests it limited enhanced night-time visibility at the cost of some mild nausea.

For some reason, this submissions sounds like an inside joke or some obscure innuendo. Since it is a slime mold, is it really a cheese?

While this has some promise, it isn't on the same level as other submissions we have seen from the wildly creative mind of Pieh. It could use fleshing out to expand on its unusual power of granting improved night vision.

A party of adventurers walk along late on an open plain, on a moonless night. Abruptly, War screams, the clanging of metal and death-cries are heard. It is an open plain, and nothing is seen, but the sound of a huge battle is all about them. The sounds continue for a half hour before stopping as suddenly as they started. What was it? Perhaps the ghouls of a long-gone battle, reliving their unfortunate last memories...
