Arebek, The sun Crusher

By: Roack

Man became hot under the sun, and Arebek smiled.
Man became thirsty under the sun, and Arebek smiled.
Man became greedy under the sun, and Arebek smiled.
Man died under the sun, and Arebek smiled still.

Arebek is known as the Sun Crusher, the Man eater, and above all, the Enemy. When the dragon Illuyuskan volunteered to put out his eyes and watch the world, Arebek volunteered to help. To such an insane and evil being, help constituted the forceful removal of Illuyuskan’s third eye Xuiopios. Arebek’s blade corrupted the eye, and it could see only the Dreaming Reality. As Punishment, he was sent to the sun, stomping on it with spiked boots so the heat and light can escape.

Description and Representation
The Man eater is portrayed in black, hooded robes, with chainmail dyed a bright, metallic orange underneath. His boots stand on wicked, curved and barbed spikes a foot long each. His face is hidden in complete darkness, except for his needle-toothed, inhuman smile that extends almost from ear to ear. Arebek’s eyes are green, and they can sometimes be seen flashing over the sun as it sets.

When drawn or carved, Arebek is depicted similarly to the first dragon gods, comprised of hundreds of interlocking, curved lines. His dagger, however, is depicted in the style of the “newer” gods, and always shown with him.

Worship, Domain and Relationships
Arebek is the god of chaos, evil, and the sun. His symbol is an orange foot against a pitch-black sun. His church is seclusive, an many doubt it’s existence. In reality, he is worshipped by the hotfoot clan, though few know it. His subjects are as derranged and sick as he is, and drive nails through their feet in his honor.

It is said that Arebek and Hesynt are lovers, but he does not show this. Arebek is also one of the few gods recognised by the Ylfharn, but they make no mention of Hesynt. Among the Nesa, he his called the Loveless one, adding further evidence against any reltaionship.

Ummm... "Seclusive" is not a word... I think you mixed together "secretive" and "reclusive", right?

Perhaps, though I'll leave it in there as a portmanteau. Thank you, Captain.

Well Known Around the Citadel

Random Idea Seed View All Idea Seeds

Urbants-Creatures that move quickly around on their massive arms, and their "legs" dangle about from their torso, at about elbow length. They can move fairly quickly, but not as fast as an obese human, and can "jump" fairly high. Their "legs" are very powerful, and can kill with one blow. The bad thing is, Urbants cannot block attacks at their heads, which have relatively no neck, from the length of their legs being so short.
