Book with initially blank pages which records the life of the holder from the time it is picked up to the day someone else picks it up, at which point it starts again as blank pages.

It is amazing how many details are missed by the average person in the course of a day... however, the book misses nothing. Every person they see, every word they hear, every tree they focus on trudging along a path... all described in minutely perfect detail. Imagine a mage with the ability to go back and read every spell uttered in his presence, or an archer capable of going back to see what they did to make THAT ONE SHOT miss when others hit in order to perfect their technique.
The book is also unaffected by emotion, logical assumption, or illusion. All details are described exactly as they truly were. Was that person glancing shyly, or studying furtively? Just look it up.
There's always a down side, in some cases it's a HEAVY down side. All those details take up a lot of paper, and paper is heavy and takes up quite a bit of space after a few weeks of carrying the book. One might be tempted to simply put it down. Should they decide to do this, for every sunset they spend out of contact with the book, they will lose all memory of a day recorded in the book beginning with the first day and progressing steadily from there. The book does not stop recording their life unless someone else picks it up, so the memory loss will never stop until that happens. When the book IS picked up by someone else, if the previous bearer should still be living, they will lose ALL memories contained within the book immediately as the pages go blank.
History
The Tome of Life was created by M'hrun Alsais, a monk who had become convinced that true purity could never be attained so long as man was unaware of his own motivations. The Tome was made to record not only the details of his life, but the motivations behind his every action. In this manner he accomplished knowing his true self, and committed suicide shortly thereafter.
The Tome rested upon his desk for 2 years before it was stolen with the rest of his books by an aspiring mage looking for records of great discoveries by 'borrowing' the personal libraries of others. It almost immediately fell into the hands of a somewhat powerful sorceress which had objected somewhat strongly to having her books borrowed. Thereafter it was lost to the sands of time and chance... its whereabouts are currently unknown.

I pretty much said what I needed to in the reply up there.
I like this item. It can smack of real potential to cause havok and chaos to a would be noble, or aspiring dignitary. Or even the adventurer who doesn't want their exploits out for all to see.

Just one question. What does it look like?
it would get immensly heavy after a month or two and after years it might require a cart to carry it.
This is a really well done submission. The blanking of the book cuts off some drama though.
