The Temple of the Moon
This Temple rests at the highest point of the island of Gond so that the Seers might observe the rising and setting of the sun, moon, and stars.
Location
The Temple of the Moon rests at the highest point on the island of Gond. Such that the Seers of Moon, stars, sky and sea might be able to best observe the celestial bodies and the winds and waters.
Hierarchy
The Seers direct and lead the Temple in the simple matters of educating those under their supervision, answering only to the Oracles as the heads of the Temple.
Members
Not all Acolytes at the Temple are magically gifted. those without the gifts of wind, water, moon or stars are trained in the arts mathematics, navigation, reading the stars and cartography.
The gifted as they are known, become seers, oracles, priests and priestesses of the Moon, sky, sea, or stars.
Affiliations
House Zand - The temple creates contracts with the masters of Zand. Sending a priest or priestess on their vessels to protect the ships from the threats of wind and sea. The result is twofold; Zandian vessels travel with greater security, and the Priests are able to hone their skills and learn about the greater world beyond the archipelago.

Solid post, I am always a fan of these types of orders that serve a pragmatic purpose. This could be a good piece of backstory to justify a characters place on a ship or place to visit when seeking maps or other advice.
