Background: Back when he was the Prince of Crucecruia under the reign of King Gerard Harper and Queen Maya Harper, he has always had a fascination with the idea of riding into battle ahead of his army which concerned Gerard who had him taught that was extremely reckless and would only lead to being killed. However this idea stuck with him even when his father was Killed In Action during the war against House Gallagher who's patriarch Arnald Gallagher had ambitions for the throne himself.

After being crowned king at age 19, he immediately rallied his forces to get revenge against the man who slew his father in combat. It was a House Gallagher Knight known as Sir. Theo Adams who struck the killing blow to his father. Decked in his finest suit of platemail armor he rode out with a vanguard of his most skilled royal troops to confront Sir. Adam.

It was said that despite his men trying to stop him, he rushed toward the knight with a fierce battle cry and tackled him to the ground. Adam, who was completely taken off guard had no time to react when he felt his helmet yanked from his head and saw Norman with a look of rage and grief, plunge a dagger into his throat over and over again. Adam's men were not prepared for this either. But when they prepared to defend themselves, Norman Harper told them that he had no quarrel with them and only wanted Adam.

He returned to his army with the head of his father's killer. It now resides in the Termarth Castle Royal Catacombs next to the grave of King Gerard. Throughout the ongoing war against House Gallagher, King Norman Harper would continue this trend of riding out with the vanguard and being the first to confront the enemy before the main army. However the main army was always not far behind. To House Gallagher, who was not used to this reckless behavior, this was a complete change in tactics from the former King Gerard who took a more traditional approach to warfare.

This extremely unusual style of warfare earned King Norman the nickname "Vanguard King". Despite being reckless as all hell, it earned the Royal Army a string of victories in the next 5 battles. King Norman Harper always made sure to keep his entire body covered in enchanted armor when in battle. This prevented him from being struck by arrows and other ranged projectiles. This all changed at the Battle of Helmhaven.

Current Status: King Norman Harper is currently Missing In Action. He was last seen during the Battle of Helmhaven but once the battle concluded with the Royal Army being the victors, he was nowhere to be found. It is as if he vanished into thin air. No one knows his current location or if he is even still alive. The war is still going on but it is at a complete stalemate. Neither the Royal Army nor House Gallagher have made any efforts to continue fighting. It is currently unknown as to why this is.

Addendum 01: It is been reported that someone who resembles the missing king has been spotted in the City of Green Hills. This man has been discovered to be squatting in the abandoned castle in the center of the city but the local authorities have not kicked him out due to the reputation this castle has. The identity of this man has not been confirmed yet.
