Ansgar Haakon
Ansgar is a Rohirrim (Same race as the Riders of Rohan)that wanders aimlessly along roads and paths mearly to see the world or to patroll... depending if he is employed or not. He usually sings or whistles while traveling and is quite formidable looking while riding his meara.
Special Equipment:
A +15 lance given to him by a close friend, A full helm, Full chain armor, A green and black surcoat, A broad sword, and a small bag containing everything he needs.
Appearance:
Ansgar is rarely seen without his full helm on except while he is indoors and wears full chain armor. He wears a green and black checkered surcoat and caries around with him an impressive lance. He travels very lightly and only carries a small bag and a sword on him. He is about 6' and has short blond hair and blue eyes donned by most of the Rohirrim. He isn't the most handsom man, but he is very impressive to look at, especially while riding his Meara. He is loud, very straightforward, and isn't afraid to tell someone what he thinks of them... especially if he thinks their doing something less than intellegent.
Background:
He is a young horse rider who's father was a farmer. He always hated staying home and doing tedious farm chores that left him exhausted at the end of the day. He has always dreamed of seeing the world outside of his plain and simple farm life. A friend of his, Galan, was a Rider of Rohan that always told him about all the wonderful journies they would go on riding throug the hills and hunting down orcs. Ansgar left his father's farm when he became old enough to do so and trained hard to become a lancemen so he could ride with his friend. What he realised though is that he wanted to travel... not to stay in the hills and hunt down orcs (Although to him hunting down orcs wouldn't be a bad thing) so he decided just to go his own way and see the world. Before he left though, Galan have him his trusted spear, Maegwath, and one of his strongest mearas.
Roleplaying Notes:
He is afraid of very little... except deep water. He cannot stand to swim in deep water and is very uneasy while he is on a boat.
He isn't the kind to slink and hide around, he would just assume going straight up to an enemy and attacking it right there.

That's a pretty good one.
The Lord of the Rings references and all that can be worked around.

Thanks. I thought at first this was a description I was supposed to make for my own character (Me being as new as I am to this thing). If you want to use any of my characters for your scenerios though I don't really care. =) Have fun.

Oh, no problem, man.
We welcome it.

Heh. The Citadel has changed. Not sure whether it would have received that well a reception nowadays :)

It's a decent character.
A +15 lance given to him by a close friend... (snip) ...and a small bag containing everything he needs.
I assume that +15 isn't a D and D statistic! That would be a CLOSE friend, indeed!
Where can I get ahold of one of those bags?

It is MERP/Rolemaster. +15 = +3 in DnD, but in MERP the bonuses can and do get as high as +110.
Of course only Sauron has those kind of weapons ;)

Indeed. I liked MERP. Agree with this and your other comment :)
