7 Wight Scrolls
One shot scrolls for dungeon acolytes, initiates, zealots, and mages to cast spells above their level, or effects that the powers that be do not want as spells to be learned
1. Summon Wight Patrol
Summon Wight Patrol scrolls are common, and when activated, are consumed in a puff of pink flame and ash. The scroll summons 1D4+1 Standard Wights armed with the usual spears, swords, and shields.
2. Summon Wight Squad
A more powerful summon, this summons two armored wights (tarasceen steel field plate armor, shield, longsword or ax) and 1D4+1 standard wights (squires to the Wight Knights) and a wight dungeon mage. This is considered a serious escalation of conflict and it is very likely that the City under the Gyre is aware that something serious is going on.
3. Dungeon Fireblast
The scroll allows the Wight (or human who can read Wightish) to cast a fireball spell, as per a minimum level caster of the spell. The flames are a roiling pink color and the smoke created by the blast is especially noxious. Enclosed spaces can make explosives much more devastating, and the Dungeon Fireblast is fully intended to work underground, so damage can be severe, though aiming is difficult, so an inexperienced dungeon acolyte can very easily incinerate themselves, and other wights just as easily as their opponents.
4. Dungeon Thunderblast
The scroll allows the Wight, or other capable user, to cast a lightning spell, as per the minimum level caster of the spell. The bolt is eye-searing pink and the thunder deals an additional die of sonic damage. Used in such an enclosed space as a dungeon, the spell is disorienting for all present and can cause lingering blindness, deafness, and other traumatic effects.
5. Teleportation
Teleportation scrolls are already an incredibly rare commodity, and these are no exception. The scroll allows for a valid user to teleport themselves and a number of people equal to their intelligence modifier to a predetermined location. These scrolls cannot be altered to move the caster to a different location, and in a very basic cipher, certain words are left out of the scroll. When being activated, the bearer of the scroll has to already know where the scroll is set to deliver them and speak the words without reading them. The scroll delivers the bearer and companion to a fortified plaza in the Wight's underground city, Euqsarretstone. This is a combination of military camp, triage center, and trap, because in the past some heroes have activated one of these rare scrolls and ended up smack in the middle of Understone, as it is more commonly known.
6. Dragonforce
Through fire and flame, this scroll turns the bearer into a half-draconic abomination for a short amount of time, including access to a breath weapon, claw, wing, and tail attacks, and the ability to cause dragon fear.
7. Mass Polymorph
The Mass Polymorph scroll lets the caster and up to ten of their companions be polymorphed into a beast of their choosing. Popular choices include Displacer Beast, Gorgon/Medusa, Minotaur, Giant Spider/Centipede, Umber Hulk, Hellhound, Otyugh, and Dungeon Bear.
