HeartKind

By:

HeartKind bands are a way for Dark Kind (or any Deamonic/Monsterous kind) to show that people have nothing to fear from them.

Full Item Description
The HeartKind item are varied in their exact form. They are most commonly a wrist band or bracelet, The only requirements are Silver Hearts and a clasp.

Each HeartKind item has one or more silver hearts as part of the design. These are normally as charms or adornments on wrist bands, bracelet, or necklaces. The Silver Hearts are symbols of purity and love, which is why they are used for the common charm. Each heart is engraved with simple glyphs that draw tiny amounts of magic into the charm to make it work.

The clasp is the mechanism of binding. By voluntarily putting on the item and closing the clasp, the Kind is bound by the compulsions of the HeartKind Band (or item).

Magic/Cursed Properties
Wearing the Band shows that one is "Of the Heart"

By putting on the HeartKind band, the wearer is compelled to follow the rules of The Pact, to do no harm, and to follow the laws of the land to the best of their abilities. If one willingly and knowingly violates the compulsion, they are wracked with pain and drained of magical energy. If they are totally drained of magical energy, they are dismissed or die.

Since these bands only work if they are voluntarily worn, they only act as a sign of visible insurance that the Dark Kind (or other Kind) means no harm. You can not close the band if your intent is not to follow the compulsions.

History
These bands were created during the Six Star DeamonWar.

One thing you must realise is that there is no such thing as pure iron/steel these days. Iron/steel isn't nearly as strong now as it was in medieval times. However, with that said, iron in early medieval times was so soft you could hack right through a helm with a sword and leave a nice lil mark on the skull (depending on the grade of iron used on the sword and the helm, ofcaurse). After many hundreds of years of fine tuning, however, the only use the sword had was to puncture the plate. That was very difficult, however, since the grade of steel was so hard... only blunt instruments and weighted axes had any use against plate armor in later medieval times. Makes me wonder why rapiers were so popular then and why less people wore plate (Other than it's obsene costs... a nice suit of armor would cost as much as a nice lexus does now... and a kings suit would be as much as a rols royce).
