Dreon
By: Dragoon God

Created in a time of need, he was cast from the pride he was made to obtain, he is a warrior, and a leader.

Special Equipment:

Dreon carries the Diamond Lance, a weapon once wielded by a forgotten hero. This is a a fast weapon, deadly in the hands of Dragoon, it is an example of a true warrior among the Dragoons. Only the best warriors are allowed to wield it in battle, Dreon is one such warrior.

Appearance:

Dreon stands at 7’0. He has the head, wings, legs, tail, and temper of a Dragon. His bulking Human-like body is covered in red scales. His chest is protected by red plate armor, and his private regions are consealed beneath a long kilt(not plad, solid yellow).

Background:

Dreon was a warrior since he was invisioned in his fathers minds. In the 500th year of the Imperial Government, Dragons were occupiing almost half of the mountains, and were blocking the way to many mining areas. The Imperials tried to reason with the Dragons, but to no avail. So, they deemed the Dragons as dangerous adversaries, who planned to destroy all humans. This was the start of the Dragon Hunt.
The Humans were not alone in their war, many Gigantos and Dark Elves allied themselves with the Imperials, they hoped to get rich off the Dragon’s deaths.
The Dragons were nothing compared to an army, and retreated to the deepest part of the mountain. There they created a new race, one with the blood of the Dragons. They made about 130 Prime Dragoons to help them. In their haste, however, they gave the race what they believed to much power.
To remedy this situation they created the Dragoons, less powerful warriors of the Dragons. They forbade the Prime Dragoons to help unless the situation was dire. But Dreon, the 51st of his brethren, could not take the constant bloodshed, bloodshed he believed he could end. So, he led the Prime Dragoons to battle, and within a year the Dragon Hunt ended, and a treaty was made.
Unfortunatly only Dreon survived the war as the last Prime Dragoon. For him the battle had only begun, for now he had to fight his inner demons. He was held as a hero for his skill with a Lance, but he was plunging into darkness, carrying the guilt of his brothers death on his shoulders. The Dragons saw their fault in denying him the honor of battle, and arranged an audience with him.
They told him his brothers chose to fight, as he did. They fought with the fury of true warriors, and they would be honored as such. Then they gave him the most sacred treasure of the Dragons- the Diamond Lance. Dreon was shocked at the very presence of the weapon, and the descision of the Dragons. He accepted the role of Dragoon Veral, or general. He has been a great soldier for centuries, and has faithfully served his fathers. He is an honor bound fighter, and an ecxellent tactitian. He is feared all over Arcane(the planet)for his skill with a lance. He is known as one of the strongest soldiers in Quatra.

Mmmm... Not yet.

So... What is this character like besides being a "badass mothafucka"? This character is fairly munchkin- a powerful half-breed warrior with all kinds of superior abilities and a nice special magic spear. What is he like personally? Does he still feel guilty for the deaths of his brothers? Does he rule a kingdom or is he just... alone? What does he do? What are his motivations?
Does he just sort of wander around showing off his bad-assery?

Nine times out of ten, it’s the undead that do the running. Not strictly animal or vegetable, the Corpse bud is a peculiar individual that shares characteristics from multiple kingdoms and species. In appearance, all corpse buds bear a shape of a large rounded top bud divided into four lateral segments, and a much longer, narrower bottom bud, also divided into four segments. Between the two halves are a set of four radial limbs, rounded on top and flat on the bottom, covered with tiny serrated hooks facing towards the body. In overall size, it’s limbs reach as wide as a spread hand, with the body being as thick as a fist. It is as long as a human hand from top to bottom. Internally, the top bud of the corpse bud contains a bacteria filled membrane that produces the hydrogen that the corpse bud uses to stay aloft, and a series of fungal gills for the dispersal of spores for reproduction. The lower half of the bud contains a number of fine filaments, as well as a sharp barbed stinger containing a powerful local anaesthesia. The Corpse Bud mobilizes by inflating its top bud, and steers by rotating its arms rapidly about its body. The corpse bud ordinarily drifts with the wind, orienting towards the scent of recent decay and death. It preys on the recently dead, burrowing the lower bud into the victim, using the anaesthesia in case the victim is dying, and not truly deceased. Once embedded, it releases its filaments into the body, replacing the current nervous system. This gives it full animation of the body, and allows the corpse bud to direct it. Corpse buds are not a malevolent species, being primarily concerned with breaking down the host body for food, and infecting the reproductive cycle with spores in order to mate with other corpse-bud bodies. To preserve the corpse for this purpose, Corpse buds will seek out dry locations to prevent bacteria from destroying the corpses. This often causes a large number of corpse buds to gather in a single location. In culture, Corpse buds are used to repair broken spines or degenerative diseases, as the sentient mind will easily overcome the mind of the non-sentient corpse bud. Once infected by a corpse bud, however, removal is usually fatal, and the infected individual cannot reproduce, or risk infecting another. Thus, it is a technique often reserved for the elderly, or a last resort. Necromancers and other dark sorcerers will often preserve the corpses of their victims magically, and infect them with corpse buds, creating traditional undead as well, so as to seed their lairs with undead both offensive and non, in order to throw their enemies off balance. They will also enslave the rudimentary minds of the corpse buds, and transform the docile things into a plague. There have also been accounts of magically transformed corpse buds with stronger minds and a taste for living flesh, but thus far all accounts are unproven rumors.
