Ouzala are long, spear-like objects. On side of the shaft is fixed with inch long glass teeth, creating a saw blade. If the Ouzala is placed alongside a person and wrenched backwards, the teeth could tear through a man with ease. People have been known to be disemboweld or decapitated in one pull, and the jagged teeth do horrid damage to ones hamstring. By the end of a battle, most of the teeth of an Ouzala will have been wrenched out or shattered, and as such much time post-battle is spent reapplying new teeth. If the teeth wear out before a battle is done, the Ouzala can be used as a spear.

Children of Glass excerpt
By Lord Dermond Jaged

Full Item Description
Vaxatra, or the Will of Axtrami is an exceptionally well made ouzala. While the majority of ouzalas made utilize artificially made glass, this weapon is fitting only with teeth made from lightning forged glass teeth. As such, it is considered as much a religious artifact as a weapon. Each of the glass teeth has a unique color to it, a greenish gold color that comes from the presence of copper rich minerals that were present in the sand when the lightning struck.

The base of the weapon is adorned with inlays of glass beads etched with holy symbols of Axtrami, then wrapped in specially cured leather taken from the hide of a local desert lizard. The end of the ouzala has three golden eagle feathers tied to the end, though they have since been stained with blood spilt by the weapon.

History
This weapon was created by an Ouzquin Dremorix Priestess as a suitable wedding gift for her husband to be, a leader of another strong band of the Bright People. She gathered the teardrop shaped teeth from the desert sands for many years. The first was gathered when she was but 6 years of age. The last was found on her 18th naming day. On that day, when she found the last piece she took up the other pieces she had gathered in hopes of making a proper wedding gift for her husband to be.

All of the pieces were blessed by the priest of Axtrami, and then the glass teeth were set and bound into place with special cords that were washing in pure water and blessed by the Acolytes of Morning Dew so that they might endure long use. Finally the entire weapon was taken to the remote temple of Axtrami where it was judged by the Lord of Lightning himself and found worthy of his blessing. The weapon was wrapped in delicate cloth and returned to the Priestess.

As can be expected, the Priestess was wed to a fine husband who used the ouzala in many battles, both for the good of the Bright People, and for his own glory. As such the weapon has become well known among the Ouzquin Dremorix as the unbreakable ouzala, Vaxatra, the Will of Axtrami.

Magic/Cursed Properties
Vaxatra is a masterwork weapon of the highest quality, both in terms of manufacture, materials, and of the methods that went into its construction. The teeth of the weapon, often an ouzala's weak point, are rooted very deeply into the shaft of the weapon and are very difficult to break out. The weapon would only loose teeth on a botched, or severely failed attack or damage roll. On a seperate note, the weapon is iconic to the Ouzquin Dremorix. A warrior wielding it in battle can use the weapon to raise the moral of his troops as images of the ouzala glitter in the mirrored panels of their armor.

If wielded by a true believer in Axtrami, the weapon is truly potent. The glass teeth can tear through steel and leather with ease. The teeth will never break, and damage done to creatures of darkness, deception, or associated with the breaking of mirrors suffer twive the normal damage inflicted by the weapon. One a day, said warrior can invoke the Ire of Axtrami, and his next strike will deal seven times the normal damage (Roll damage seven times, not multipy a single roll by 7)

Plot Hooks
Strange Bargains - Most of the magic items and weapons of the Ouzquin Dremorix were bartered for from merchants and outsiders. Vaxatra is uncommon as it was created by the Ouzquin Dremorix themselves. As such, it stands as a measuring point for other magical weapons. It's not the Will of Axtrami actually means that a weapon is inferior to the ouzala, while referring to a bartered weapon as being the Will of Axtrami means that it is acceptible. There are no outsider weapons considered finer than this ouzala.

Lost! - Somehow Vaxatra has been lost, its bearers lost in the desert. The PCs have found the weapon along with the withered corpses of the bearers, risen as sand zombies trying to return the spear. The only way to defeat the zombies is to break the glass orb in their jaws. The PCs are in hot water for violating the (un)dead by breaking orbs, stealing from the Bright People, and all sorts of other taboos.
