The Library of Vasa
A fascinating place for your players to visit when they need to do research.
THE LIBRARY OF VASA
Located in a three story tall stone edifice, the Library of Vasa encompasses 3 above ground and 2 subterranean levels. The library has one of the greatest accumulations of knowledge in the world.
Flanking the two huge bronze entrance doors are a pair of huge onyx lions.
Passing through the huge bronze doors brings you to the libraries main foyer. No matter how many people are in the library your party will always be alone in the foyer except for one of the librarians. They always dress in long black robes with the hoods pulled over their heads. They appear normal except where their eyes should be are only empty black sockets.
Once the visitor states their request the servant will silently lead them to the proper section and then leave. If the visitor attempts to wander too far from their section they will find themselves back at the foyer.
The servants are blind. They willingly sacrificed their vision to have free access to all the knowledge the library has to offer. The library itself is sentient. It has access to all of the libraries accumulated knowledge and can draw from it as needed. The servants have a direct mental link with the library and serve as its hands and voice. The library can cast spells through its servants.
If attacked the servants can cast spells that are in the library and the two onyx lions activate as huge stone golems.
