Creating Generators from 30s

Got a 30? Want a Generator? Read on!

1. Start your text editor of choice.

2. Copy your 30 from strolens into the text editor.

3. Add a separator character between each element, such as *.

4. Save the file

5. Go to Your Generators, click Upload Generator File

6. Select the file and put * as the delimiter.

7. Click the upload button.

Bingo! A 30 is now a generator.

As a stylistic note, remove the number from the start of each element.

Could we build a converter to automate this?

If there was a consistent means to tell which section is which, certainly.

It is that part which made this so tutorial complex - there is no formal definition of an entry in a 30.

Some have extended descriptions above the listing - of course that could be treated as a separate element and merged with the summary/description manually.

different format for numbers none, 1. , 1.), 1-, etc.

Some bold the entries, some do not. Some are not consistent with bolding (such as myself) - see

To make this work well, we should have a fixed interface for List submissions, where you create the elements one by one. This does not lend itself to, for example, my workflow using external docs and pasting it in.

It would almost be easier to use the Generator creation screen to create a 30 :).

It /would/ be easier to use the generator creation area to create a 30. It's pretty much always easier to move from a very precise, delimited format to a freeform one. The reverse is...slightly more difficult.

Update: Edit -removed somewhat overcomplicated method.

Val, quick question: I've recently uploaded a new 30+ Chinese name generator. I'm currently working to expand it into 101 and here comes my problem. So far I can only see an edit button which then requires me to copy and paste in items one by one. Is there a function that allows me to override the existing generator by uploading a new text file to replace the old or is the only option for me to delete the old one and replace it with the expanded version?

I think you need to delete the old one and replace it with the file.

Small tavern in an out of the way town. Serve a wonderful delicacy that is simply outstanding. It is a creamy white consistancy, sweet, good to eat alone or a sweetener on any dessert. If the explore or ask they are shown where they get it. They breed a group of large catipillars or some other type of insect that basically spit the product onto a setup that they created for that particular reason. Or maybe the delicacy is the byproduct of feeding them something. Instead of city can be a traveller offering the food.
