The Orb of Alternative Source of Magic
By: Damp;Dnewbie

An item that can be used at any distance when the wielder is in favor with the owner that allows the user to cast spells, even in a null-magic zone.

This item can be used even when the user is miles away from the Orb, as long as the user is allowed to by the owner. This item was made by Ordogon, a now deceaced king of the Elven Kingdom of Elmar.

Magical Properties:

This item will allow the user to cast spells in an area with little or no magical energy, and can be used at any distance from the item as long as the owner approves. This item was made by means of The Orb of Craft.

The thing about this item is that its just kinda' boring. Maybe if it had an interesting story to it. But no. It was made by some elven king. Weeee. It doesn't even have an interesting name.
Does it eat souls to recharge itself? Does it contain a spark from a god's aura? A piece of the flesh of the Demon of Magic?
What is it? Why?

1/5. Sorry.

This item is only a supplement to the character Ardos, who I have just got around to posting. i made the item so that Ardos wouldn't fail just because of a null-magic zone

Well, actually, the null-magic zones are tools for the GM when he does not want his plot to be circumvented through some stupid spell.
So it is munchkin. See where it leads: The PCs have to learn information from Fnord the Sage. He'd send them on a quest, for which the just reward would be the bit of knowledge. But no, a PC mage walks up to him, and reads his mind. No quest, no game, boooo-ring. Now, if Fnord sits in a null-magic zone, all is different.
Also, characters with no weaknesses are quite uninteresting as well.
