The Grand Master
He sits in his throne of space, flipping two coins. He never looks at the results of the toss, he was not meant to know. No one was. They will flip forever, in that endless dance of fate.

Mytyn: The Fire and The Water
Two sides of the same coin, as the Grand Master flips; the balance changes. Fire burns up the waves for a time, only to see a tsunami of liquid put out the flames. The embers still burn. They will never be washed away.

Kyn: The Earth and The Air
Two sides of the same coin, as the Grand Master flips; the balance changes. The ground shakes and swallows the sky, the air pushes dirt away and there is peace. For now.

When running a new party, get around the question of plot density by having the first discovery to be a deck of fate, or whatever you call it. If you use a real deck, you should definitely stack it to have the desired outcome, which is to curse the party to attract weird things to happen and involve them. This should not be told to the players at the time, so that they won't just up and try to get themselves 'decursed'. Though quite why they would want to is beyond me.
