Freithor, the Demons of the Gloom
By: Kassil

"Once, they were mortals, disciples of the Netherlord known as Soreen the Frostfell. Now, their humanity shed, they are his loathsome demonic servants, elemental cold bound to deadly hate and rage."

Full Description

The Freithor are strange creatures; born of the Nether Realm known as the Gloom, their appearance is mutable; in their most common form, they resembled whirlwinds full of snow and razor-sharp ice, with several large shards of ice floating around that burn with a malevolent azure light, serving the creatures as eyes. Almost as common is the crude humanoid shape they assume when traveling the windless regions of the Gloom or when summoned by the cultists who worship Soreen the Frostfell, the demonic elemental who commands the loyalty of these creatures. This form resembles a collection of jagged ice crystals bound together by frost that melts and reforms to let the creature move. Much less common is their final form, a nearly perfectly replica of the mortal from which the creature was shaped, save that this is a sculpture of winter, with hair of frost, skin of snow, and bones of ice.

Hateful, seek destruction, servants of Soreen. Often summoned by Soreen’s cults. Hate true winter-elementals, elemental demons of other types.

Rakda- These goatlike animals, who have shaggy coats and layers of scales, are good retainers of water. They are close relatives of Suppoki. Their meat is considered a delicacy in many countries. No desert tribesman leaves his settlement without a Rakda.
