He is mockingly called the snail king for his hesitation in the past sea wars of Coastal Molluska, of which his kingdom is the most southern, resulting in his fleets arriving 2 weeks after the surrender of Northern Pulmonata.
Epigrid is hard to move to action as he spends long nights and days deliberating the best course of action and while very wise, he is not quick to rise or brash in any action, even the most minut. A slave to his own intellect.
