1-The Mr Tick

The Mr Tick and his wife run a very small college with only their children as students, but word has come down from on high that all the small colleges must close. The PCs are asked to pretend to be students when the school inspectors show up, and they and the Mr Tick’s children have to run from room to room to pretend to be the Maths class, the Drama class, the History class, the Magic class ( if magic exists and is publicly known about in the world in which the Mr Tick lives) ect, to fool the school inspectors. In return the Mr Tick will either pay them or help them with some important information that they need for their main quest.

2-The Sadist

Corporal punishment is legal in the country where he works as a teacher, but instead of only using it for really badly behaved students, he grossly overuses it. The PCs have been paid to teach him a painful lesson , but he is no pushover and can put up more of a fight then you might expect.

3-The Dungeoneer

He has a lot of genuine dungeon experience, starting like most adventurers with the small dungeons and moving on to the huge Livingstone dungeon and finally the depths of the Gygaxian Gyre. He has survived them all and now makes his money teaching would be adventurers how to avoid death, maiming or capture within the dungeon environments.

4-The Witness

He witnessed the murder of his best friend, and his evidence, assuming he survives long enough to give it, will lead to the murderer’s execution. But the killer was a senior gangster ( see 30  Gangs) for which gang he is a member of. The witness was put into witness protection and given a job as a history teacher, but there was a mole who betrayed his real identity to the wrong people. The PCs are either sent to escort him to court and prevent any attacks on the way, or they have been sent to murder him.

5-The Burned Out

His class are badly behaved , and either because the laws of the country do not allow it or he just has the wrong skills, he is unable to discipline them properly. He hates his job and feels himself a failure.

6-The Naughty

He is sleeping with one of his fifteen year old students, and he is over twice her age, so this is no Romeo and Juliet situation. The PCs could be trying to arrest him, blackmail him for information that they need, or beat him up or worse.

7-The Interesting

He is the teacher that other teachers wish they could be. He is interesting, well paid, has a secure tenure and a secure future career ahead of him.
