Korinthan Gag Jar

By: Ancient Gamer

In the town of Bin-Erek the Korinthan Thieves employ several alchemists that provide them with special gear. The Gag Jar is an expensive concoction they use in an emergency.

Full Item Description
The "Gag Jars" are pear shaped ceramic jars whose lids have been sealed with beeswax and then strapped tight with thin threads of rope. When a thief smashes this jar against the ground, its contents produce a gagging smell so intense that all who inhale soon double over, feeling they cannot breathe, along with the urge to vomit.

The effect is longer in small rooms, or in places with poor ventilation, and if it is smashed or otherwise opened in a small cell without a window, well, the victims might actually die.

When opened the Gag Jar reveals its contents: a dung like substance with an eerie purplish tinge. Flies seem to favor the mass, which has been made from the dung of several animals, mixed with some potent plants.

History
The Korinthans use the jars against pursuing city guards and private guards that show up at an inopportune time. Seasoned burglars and pickpockets may keep such a jar around to avoid being thrown into the dungeons, or worse.

Selling it: Any Korinthan thief can buy "Gag Jars" from his local guild representative. It takes a couple of days to deliver, up to a week at the most, and it will cost him some silver to buy.

A known immortal traveling with the PCs kills an attacker, and is arrested and charged with murder, since immortals cannot kill in self defense, being immortal.
