The Frost & Blaze stones can have only a limited amount of heat or cold stored away within their mass, a significantly sized stone could have a greater effect on an area, but most (pretty much all of them, really.) Would be roughly fist sized or smaller. The smallest stones would be the size of a pearl and could be used in environmental resistance armors/apparel or weapons/tools for greater effect. Also, sorry for responding to all of the questions, the frost stones admit only cold into their 'mass' and remain neutral in temperature because of their nature. They do not absorb heats, they simply 'collect' cold in order to later radiate it if activated. The level of cold radiated would not likely freeze ocean water but might do so to small amounts of fresh water. (saltwater freezing at lower temperatures) Go to Comment
An ancient Banshee Willow acts as the source of a powerful curse that afflicts a nearby village. The dead do not remain dead, but instead become zombies that can speak but no longer control their decaying bodies. Cursed to witness the deaths of their family, friends, and fellows, the heroes are contacted/asked to save them all and let their souls move on in peace. Go to Comment
By the time the sleeping/dying animals are found there are usually carrion birds or ants nearby. Some beasts such as the Bulette have thick enough hides/bony plates to pass through unhindered and others still, may be immune to the effect. Go to Comment

The Dark Gate is rift, a portal between the material and Shadow Realm that allows denizens of one realm to pass through to the other with little trouble or resistance. The Sanctum was built after a period known as the Shadow Wars where the Radiants (mortals of celestial blood or devotion.) Drove them back into their abyssal place of origin. The Magi are considered a small remnant of the Radiants. Though the fear of shadows and superstitious murmuring of living nightmares still causes many to support the Magi by donation, most have started to see them as an order of fearmongers. (It has been over a century since the Sanctuary was raised, and people forget within a few short generations.) Go to Comment
The runoff from Mount "Evil Volcano" has turned an area of small lakes below into a vision of hell. The mixture of acids in the lakes is of such strength that virtually any organic material touching is quickly dissolved. It is a melange of sulfuric, nitric and hydrochloric acids.
However, the place does harbor life, and its very strange, and very dangerous....
