I don't like the ability to use it above ground if it an overcast day, or to read things in the shade, that makes it kind of comedic and pointless, I would make a nice helm and carry around an umbrella Go to Comment

The Caretaker is benevolent? If the heroes within are not worthy, would he still praise their attempt on the tower, if they are malevolent and only going inside for their own greed, would he still act this way, if they aren't learning a damn thing
The structure is interesting, but the purpose is strange especially for something so merciful and miraculous as an aid to a small village.
Wow, this is a great race for space travel, I really like your attention to scientific accuracy and some of the detail choices, like the skin pigmentation.
So these Salvorathans have no planet, what do they fight for? Do they have a safe haven, ports or space stations, how well do they get along with other races, who are their enemies, Do they have their own language?
You receive a vision of a rooftop "somewhere close by", where a rare moss grows; in the vision, you know the moss is suitable for greatly enhancing the effects of certain types of potions. Now go and find that rooftop. Don't fall off. (Of course, rooftop runners *will* be taken for miscreants by the local City Watch....)
