Xoct’s Sauce is a typical condiment for the rich: A thick, blue, fruity sauce made from red wine, several fruit juices, and a number of secret ingredients. It is the latest taste, the fad spice of the day. As the Duke de Gatan of Valantienne noted, “The fat-handed rich proclaim it the best taste since the salt traders first came.” But behind the innocent trade of this tasty sauce is a surplus of business coming from an unexpected source: Thieve’s guilds.

The thieves have discovered that the concoction has a side effect: It gives vision in the dark. Thus, the guilds purchase the expensive stuff by the case at a price that even the usual noble born buyers find prohibitive. The normal consumers find the night vision amusing or annoying, but so far, few but the most perceptive of buyers have seen the use in thievery.

Gives the consumer sight in non-magical darkness.
This effect lasts about three hours after the Xoct’s Sauce is consumed.
