Appearance

Tarak appears as a sturdy warrior in his late thirties.  His black hair is streaked with grey and he has rough, sturdy features.  Numerous minor scars give him a fairly intimidating appearance.

History/Background

Tarak was a sargent in the Theosian Army until involved in the Harvest of the Asrok, as detailed in the legend of the Boots of the Asrok whereupon he was promoted to a Sub-Knight and given command of a company of soldiers. Unfortunately for him, he came under the influence of the Boots and inadvertantly became a deserter.

Tarak gained his freedom from the boots, but this almost killed him.  While tracking some goats which had wandered accross a frozen lake, he happened to fall into a rift.
During his frantic efforts to escape the icey grip of the frigid water, the boots fell off and into the lake.  After a lengthy struggle, an exausted and freezing Tarak managed to pull himself onto the ice.

Currently, Tarak is a deserter and is roaming the Garon’s Teeth mountains.  The Theosian army would execute him if he were to fall into their hands.

Special Equipment

Tarak wears a pair of Boots of the Asrok in addition to heavy clothing of mountain goat skins.

Roleplaying Notes

While still wearing the boots, Tarak will not consider leaving the mountains.  Once freed of the boots, he could be employed as a forest guide, if the PC’s can convince him they have no ties with his former kingdom.
