Placeholder Gods
By: Murometz

"No Really!, we ARE your gods!"

Do ye reckon Mathom rules alone? Nothing would ever get done. No, my brothers and sisters, there are others. Others.

*sigh*

This scroll was born in chat with manfred and AG.

Mathom should have some friends!

I will do two or three gods. I will not do them now. If you know Mathom, then you know why. Out of repect for HIM, I shall dilly-dally instead.

Eventually coming your way will be…Our Lady of Paranoia, Nehu, God of Confidence, and maybe the Methods of Methodemus. Be on the lookout for others…manfred’s God of Pessimism…and other, more awful horrors! Maybe even the Redundant Lord of Redundancy!

I think you get the idea here. Do not tread lightly! Mathom, the God of Delays is much loved around here. His fellow Placeholders should be too!

Just read "Mathom" and you will understand. I just read Mathom, and well—

Why look! here comes Zufa and Deletos, Lords of the Lost and Unfound, with a swarm of Gremils in tow.

World History - Option A)
The world has been created, as many have been, by the Ultimate And Perfect Being, as the creator was called only. HE has withdrawn his attention to other matters, likely creating new worlds, and other, lesser beings would arrive and take over the reponsibility of this world, becoming its Gods.

But sadly, this didn't happen. Nobody knows what went wrong, or how it could be, but the gods simply didn't arrive. The plants and animals have prospered, and the humanoid creatures grew in numbers as in thought.

But there was a vacuum in power, for no world is complete without its gods. As ages passed, lesser spirits have, some less willingly, some more, taken on the mantle of this great responsibility.

World History - Option B)
But here, all was as it should. Deities of great power and wisdom... well power at least. And then something occured... was it a war, a conflict, or was it politics of a kind mortals cannot understand? Or were they simply fed up with this, and left on their own?

Anyway, the whole pantheon has left one day, and these are the gods that have stepped into their place.

Mathom, the God of Delays By: manfred
System » Divine/ Spirit » Defining

Mathom, the God of Delays, is an overlooked but powerful entity. Few worship him, but many remember him with word and deed.

"Did you hear that? He speaks to those who would listen. Simply adjust your hearing frequency and you will hear his voice." - Audicus, Disciple of the Sound Mind and Body.

Tamrep, the Bastard God By: Mourngrymn
NPCs » Mythic/ Historical » Religious

In a world where it seems that even the smallest of ideals has a deity to call a patron, even bastards have a patron god to call their own.

See these Gods are tricky and don't want you to know of them... as this should of been a systems post/ divine.

Added Zufa, the God of Misplaced things, in homage to the many submissions that end up in the wrong category. Just as Mathom delays us, it is Zufa who misguides us. I would vote, but can't while this is in work.

Wait, am I understanding Zufa's creed correctly? Is he the God of Misplaced Things? Or the God Who Misguides Us?

Oh, come on... at least a few words of explanation could have helped. I know there is not much to this sub (or is it only the 'Silly' freetext that is missing?) - but I hope you understand the occassional need for silinness.

Guess somebody has to write another Placeholder God to show this is really serious and won't go away... Muahahahahaha!

*cough*

Well.

Not me, but, yeah, somebody.

I think the main problem we have here is the lack of a sufficient background. Yeah, it is nice to have a silly god now and then, but if they are aplenty, it only raises questions.

Adding a try.

Never!!

Because as soon as I do, that one dude, I forget his name, (manfred knows who I mean) will come out of nowhere like he did last time, join the site, vote this a "1", tell me that I'm revolting, or something like that, and I that I will burn in Hell, and will then proceed to unjoin, and leave again forever. Until the next time I release this. So, no. :p

LMAO.

Master of the Citadel
Finally got the idea for an orcish currency: A cold-hammered piece of raw iron, resembling some kind of a dagger. The Dagger is easy to carry, hard to forge, may be used as a crude weapon in case of emergency AND the iron being a valuable resource... may be used directly for weapon-making. May be carried openly on the belt of a mighty Orc. A new insult: 'to beat someone with someones money' . Self-explanatory.
