Glicenor Norius

By:

One of the Piemaster’s most devilish associates.

On occasion, The Piemaster sees a need to eliminate one of the Rollers, whether for failure, treason, or something else. In these scenarios, Glicenor is his tool of choice.

Glicenor is one of the Piemaster’s finest bakers, making those pies which the Piemaster needs to send secretly, without alerting the other bakers. When an associate must be eliminated, however, Glicenor bakes a special pie. For Glicenor is also a necromancer, killing rats and raising them as zombies, which he bake into these special pies. When sliced, to see the fruit within, the rat zombies emerge, vicious and frenzied, mutilating those nearby with teeth and diease alike.

Of course, since the Piemaster’s instructions and rewards also come in pies, there is no way for a Roller to distinguish whether a pie brings word, gold, or death without cutting it open.

Swordbiters are parasites. They are long, thin and silver, and digest metal, somewhat like rust monsters, but smaller and more insidious. They resemble stick insects, but when they cling to metal they are very well camouflaged, and one can be biting your sword for a week before you notice it. They cannot be removed by hand, as they are very strong, but if the blade is inserted into fire they will leap off to escape the flames. Sometimes, old treasure hoards are infested with them, and the first glimpse you get of the "glittering" weapons is a pile of rusted swords encrusted with these thin silvery insects.
