City of Venerability
By: Royal_Assassin

The city that many adventurers seek to drink from the Fountain of Youth…..

It is a city that is only but a rumor and possibly just a myth.  It is in a mountanous region off the coast of the Sea of Serpents.  It is about 3 miles inland off the coastline.  It is in a valley that is almost completly surrounded by mountains high enough that ice breeds upon the peaks.  It is covered by a low lying fog that seems to never be released from the valley’s grip upon it.

Some say it is a settlement tha contains the Fountain of Youth.  Others believe it is just pure fountain that heals you or cure you of your diseases rather than give you life everlasting.  The Fountain is located in the center of the settlement in a courtyard and periodically is on watch.  The temple is in one of the 2 buildings next to the courtyard.  The temple is housed in one building while the other building is living orders.  Supposedly the monks also grow their own food in small gardens just outside of the city.  Other believe they do not have to eat for the fountain provides them with good health.

It is believed to be run by 13 monks and a Temple Monk that sees over the city.  He watches the monks and protects the fountain.  The monks have been rumored to pray diligantly to their gods and also drink from the fountain daily.  Nobody knows of how they came to be or there real purposes.

Some believe it is a city of death that lures adveturers in from it’s fame of it clear water fountain.  They believe the monks trap you in and sacrifice you to the gods.  Nobody honestly knows the truth or the actual religion of the monks.  So in a sense it is cursed possibly or magical.

The truth awaits those that are brave enough to venture.

This should have more detail. The city has a magic fountain- alright, where is it? In the temple. What does the temple look like? What is the city like?

Heh, another 2.0. This one has the seed of something interesting, but the time to make it into a decent sub was not spent.

Expansion from the Horse Brass item: Specific Armor charms. Cooling Touch Charm: protects horse against extreme heat, and fire, magical and mundane Jove's Favor: tin charm shaped by a lightning bolt that protects a horse primarily from natural lightning, but also potentially from lightning based attacks. In real life, lightning kills quite a few horses and cattle a year. Hermes' Blessing: gold charm that grants the horse magic resistance, and perhaps immunity to cantrip level magics. Vulcan's Steed: This large iron charm in epic fashion renders the steed invulnerable to iron weapons. Such things clatter off of the animal's hide like twigs.
