Nieglosh
By: The Spiritborn

Nieglosh is a heavily enchanted blade that commands the wind and bears the title: Hurricane Strike.

Full Item Description
This scimitar is heavily adorned with runes and an oddly shaped green stone sits in the hilt. The blade seems to be made of a strangely light silvery metal and makes a pleasant "swoosh" when swung.

History
Long ago a young noble obtained great stones of elemental power, these he called the elemental Sigils. These stones possessed strong magic unlocked only when placed in an appropriate vessel for such power. He dedicated the remainder of his life to the study and application of these stones. He unleashed the stones potential by adapting mighty arcane items to serve as vessels for the powerful elemental magic. One such vessel is Nieglosh, which has become known as the Hurricane Blade due to its control over the winds. Crafted of the purest mithril and heavily adorned with runes due to the powerful magic it houses. The blade was crafted by an elven smith whose name was lost to the ages and enchanted to bear the magic of the elemental sigil stone of wind.

Magic/Cursed Properties
The irregular stone in the hilt is none other that the Elemental Sigil stone of Wind. The sword bearer has a rough control over windspeed and direction able to change it with only a few minutes concentration, though not to extremes. Additionally the blade can send out short bursts of controlled air battering enemies and sending small objects flying. While the blade is not in use it rebuilds its charge drawing energy from the nature around it, as such when a large charge has built up the blade can emit deadly scythes of air capable of slicing through thin metals or battle hardened flesh!

Plot Hooks
1. A local pirate inhabits the area and uses the wind changes to raid ships then escape with no pursuit.
2.The sword Nieglosh has been uncovered in some ruins but the elemental sigil is missing.
3.A lone swordsman covets this blade but seeks help on his trip to retrieve it from an elemental plane.

The scythes of hardened air is a nifty touch, and the blade is ok, though somewhat plain, but works nicely as a vessel for one of your elemental stones. Are there 3 more weapons coming?

I like the name Nieglosh for a sword! Sounds Tolkienesque

Such a wind could push over those in heavy plate armour with ease.

In some regions, various occupations might be exclusively staffed by members of a particular race or ethnic group. As examples, a city's butchers might tradtionally have orcish blood, or all the dwarves in an area could be expected to join the miners' guild (even if they personally have nothing to do with mining). Those who violate these stereotypes may find themselves in conflict with local customs or idiosyncratic laws.
