Zufa, god of Misplaced Things

By:

Zufa is a trickster god, one who is cursed daily by those who suffer from his minor inconveniences.

There is an axiom that goes along the lines of ‘Everything in it’s place.’ This axiom is anathema to Zufa, though it is also defining to his existance. Like many trickster and chaotic gods Zufa primarily exists to disrupt order, though unlike suck malignant luminaries as Eris and Loki, Zufa is very much a minor power. No terrible wars follow in his wake and rich men arent made beggers, and kingdoms do not fall.

It is the power of Zufa that puts things in the wrong place. Now, the misplacement of things that become lost are the domain of his brother, Deletos god of the Lost. Items that Zufa touches are very quickly found as they are most blatantly in the wrong place. A big fork wedged into the little fork slot in the silverware tray, or the lone vampire book that has been mishelved with the standard fantasy, and the Extra/Horde post that really should have been a plot are the works of Zufa.

Zufa is a weak deity, as his works of mischief can be put to right with a moderation of ease. The quiet repair of his work weakens his power, though the librarian who throws a tantrum over the Stephen King book in the childrens section surely is as sweet to Zufa as the latest battle is to the God of War.

ENTER Zufa! (and Deletos :D)

A friend for Mathom. Mayhaps they sit around together, shooting the breeze. Zufa keeps misplacing stuff, and Mathom suggests they look for the item later...Deletos makes sure the item is not there to be found later. And so it goes...

Fun. Maybe it was Zufa who put my computer offline for a whole day.

No Cheka. Zufa was too busy misplacing all of my personal information. He sent the wonderful gremils to do that.

Seems at long last I have some outside entities to blame for my forgetfulness

Could it be it's the little gods that drive our daily life? :)

I'd raise a cup for Zufa, but just can't seem to find it. A worthy annoyance.

"The Blessings of Zufa be upon you", a frequent curse/insult.

I admit to feeling Zufa's favour from time to time.

Well done Scras.

1971 Dodge DynaMax

       By: Scrasamax

The Dodge DynaMax is a rare care, coming at exactly the wrong time in history. The End of the muscle car era was nigh, and the market was already filled out with GTOs, Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, Novas and a dozen other high performance poor handling vehicles. The DynaMax had a plan to dominate the market with a combination of factory turbochargers and a complex eight speed gearbox. The machine was planned to triumph over the human driver element. What ended up happening was excess costs and mechanical issues saw the turbochargers removed and replaced with a conventional supercharger, and the eight speed transmission ended up being the bane of the car's existence. More DynaMaxes were destroyed or totalled by transmission failures than anything else. The car remains an ugly and ambitious reminder of a day gone by
