Flesh Stalker

By:

“Check the right flank, it seems to be weakening. be damned for their commander. I knew of Convius when I was fighting my way up to this position. It grieves me to say this, send in a stalker. Without him standing among his legions they will fall on our flank.

it grieves me that after today, I will not pit myself against him in battle one last time.”

Legatus Suuhai - Commander of the Minotaur Armies of the Blades - The Demon Wars

Full Description
A flesh stalker is a member of the Fel'Krethsh, or slave caste. However, they have been elevated higher among their fellow slaves because of their faithful service to the nobles. They have a bloodlust that matches that of the greediest Ba'craht. They are occasionally sent out to deal with difficult enemies, and are usually deep with numbers.

They are humanoid shape with two arms and two legs; however, their body has many protrusions growing from their body. They wear no clothing or armor and can wield no weapons as they have no hands. These protrusions are hard and can be used to impale their victims but grappling with them. Their arms have sharp spear like ends in place of hands that drip a narcotic drug that paralyzes their victims in moments. Anything being struck by this must make a check suitable to the game system against a poison or fall to the ground unable to move for hours. If the victim survives the attack after being paralyzed they must make three checks or they will gain an addictive reaction to the poison and need something to replace it. Drug addiction usually follows.

Additional Information
They are often used to hunt down single victims for their masters. Often members of an enemies ranking military or leaders. If a Flesh Stalker is not expected, then nothing can stop it from entering an area unnoticed to seek out its mission. They do so willingly and with great pleasure knowing they are pleasing their masters, but at the same time satisfying their blood lust. Such is the way for a violent addicted demon.

An interesting creature, I especially like the concept of their venom being addictive, it opens up some nasty adventure possibilities. I do get the feeling this sub is only partially finished however and leaves me with a fewquestions.

-"If a Flesh Stalker is not expected, then nothing can stop it from entering an area unnoticed to seek out its mission."

How exactly does it go unnoticed? Does it have some sort of magical invisibility, teleporting, or a chameleon ability that lets it slip through the ranks? (Or can it perhaps use the protrusions to burrow through the ground and erupt under the enemies feet?)

Some more details into these creatures origins, (were they human slaves or lesser demons?) and covering how they earn such a loyalty would perhaps round out this piece and give a sense of completeness. (A few plot hooks could be nice as well)

I really liked this one.

Have you, just for yourself as a GM, worked on the mind set of demon yet?

Arune Spheres
Arune Spheres are hollow, blue reflective metallic spheres about 25 cm/ 10" in diameter (though some are larger). They are made of a thickish glass mirrored on the inside. When magical energies are flowed through the sphere, it produces a haunting tone, which can be varied by the type, intensity, and harmonics of energies passed through it. (It sounds like an electronic organ.) If multiple energy flows are generated, multiple sounds can be generated, some of which sound like mundane instruments. Masters of The Craft can replicate almost any sound in their memory with one. Though originally used as a training tools for those with The Power, it has been adapted to be a musical instrument. All it takes is someone with patience, medative training, and a touch of the Power, to use it. (Thus becoming the favorite instrument of anyone who was tested to the first level of the Craft, but failed to advance).
