I just had to think of halflings and gnomes in a diesel-punk setting, as tank and submarine crews, earning their place in a society during the Great War. Suddenly, they're useful as soldiers!

"Oh, I do like being called pretty, how did you know?" Blue replied with sincere intensity. Perhaps overdoing it a little. "You appear yourself a gentle mirage, a rare blossom among dreary dust."
Blue toyed with the gifted drug. Did she also have a van with candy? Who knows? Girls and drugs and candy and vans. Blue would know what to do with this combination - but then Jerome's message popped up on the AR.
"Flirtatious furtive glances exchanged, my interest and gratitude gained, do you happen to have a place where I could make a discreet call, and you could discreetly tell me what you would have of me? If you happen to know someone who can jailbreak a bot, please tell also. And, a second, I'm listening but have to reply to a friend."

Blue quickly typed:
"We'll hire or buy a ride once we got the money. Also looking to do some custom programming. You able, or do I get a contractor?"

Punch RL in the balls and run for Decathros!!!

I found all my notes on my land but haven't gotten anywhere. It is a conspiracy against us I tell you!
I will keep it real world too:

By rubbing them on clothes or skin, can remove any stain.
Tie them to a kite, good lookouts.
Flying squirrel style, can launch them from catapults for communication network. Pass longer messages than pigeons.
Chameleon. So can hide but can also sneak in most anywhere...or on anyone. Be a great partner for a thief.
Climb most anything that has any imperfections.

Rolled through The Last Magician. Meh

AG turned me onto the Bobiverse. We are Legion (We are Bob). Space Opera at its finest. I am not into to SF too much but this is reminiscent of Hitchhikers in humor/amusement. I am a fan of Bob!! Getting a bit into the second book and just as fun. The Prime Directive be d**ned. LOL :)

Also listened to Shawshank Redemption again. Stephen King is awesome. He has some stinkers but when he is on it, he is on it. What a great voice in that story. I still like the movie better. Ties things together to make it, as a whole, bit more satisfying. But the story is still outstanding.

Going a little more Real World vibe

Genocide - the race was not able to co-exist with humanity, and after a prolonged period of racial violence, the other race was all but exterminated. Relics remain along with a few isolated relict populations of the other race.

Subjugation - the race exists is a subservient role to humanity as third class members of human society. They are the outcaste, pariahs, untouchables, and worse. Those who are subjugated are forced into slavery, or near slavery, and are often subjected to horrific treatment, always on the edge of human society, or the bottom.

Enclaves - the non-human races are forced into their own racial and ethnic enclaves, aka ghettoes. They are treated as second class citizens, subject to police oppression and hostility.

The Unnoticables - the race, being smaller, lives in the shadows of humanity and make great efforts to be useful and unseen, because being seen can result in their harm, or mistreatment. Like the Littles, they have undercities, warrens in the dark shadows, and so forth.

Slavery - the race is kept be humans, for their abilities, and usefulness. Uprisings and such are met with iron handed tactics. Cant have the house elves revolting.
