I would like to bid you all a fond farewell for a short while... reckon a couple of weeks.

I am going to study some of the wonders of this world in ancient egypte and find some new role-play hooks. Needless to say that we are also going to enjoy seeing all the ancient structures and let ourselves be surprised by the cunning of the stone-massons that have constructed these items and left them so many years that we can still admire them.

When I return, if I return(?) I will be bronzed and with a fresh look at life I will charge ahead and work on some nice things...

You're so lucky!
As an American, I can't step foot in that country. I've always wanted to see the ruins of Egypt...

Why can't you go to Egypt?

I have to wait till March for my dream vacation. Going to Cairns, Australia. Actually to the rainforest just west of there. Found a five-star tree house hotel set right in the rainforest and will stay there for 10 days as our base camp for exploring.

Suppose to be able to watch tree kangaroo and any number of other natural rainforest creatures right from the porch....or the sauna.....

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Egypt is on our list too, DEFINATELY. No illusions going soon but we WILL!!

Please tell us how it was.

I would not understand either. Americans are welcome in Egypt, just like any other tourists.

In the end, tourists are the first largest source of foreign currency in Egypt.

Anyway, I have enjoyed my time in Egypt very much. It is realy strange to see buildings that have been build over 4000 years ago and still stand higher than my own home.
Yesterday when we where looking at the picturse we made, I asked my father, how high is this pyramid (Cheops) and he said: by the looks of it, it must be around 70 meters... However the thing is still 143 meters high. When you stand next to this thing, it is incredible in the sense that it is high and volumious. However I felt it was not nearly as impressive as the ruins of Karnack or the temple of Horus in Edfu.
