HYPERGATE:
Technology:  Krana based.  
Krana: Volitile energy found deep inside moutains.  Comes in three forms solid liquid and gas.  Solid form is oftern used as a power battery capable of sustaining much more power than any conventional magic way.  Krana can be found anywhere in rock deposits.  Redish rock that produces radioactive enegies.  Solid form acts like a battery that can used to power krana energy weapons, krana energy shields, and small veicles of transportation.  

The liquid form holds much more energy but extremely dangerous to handle, any contact with it can cause death instantly or unforseen disgusting genetic mutations.  The liquid form can only be held in the strongest charmed clear steel.  Each of these tubes is about  20 feet in height and 4 feet in cicumfrence like a cylinder. Often called cores.  These cores can be hooked up to Krana Energy Converters.  The Liquid Krana produces energy through each motion and flow from end to other giving of spouts of energy that is converted into electricity at huge amounts.  They also requirce Krana Storage tanks which to keep the krana energy for conversion.  1lb of krana energy = equals almost 100,000watts of eletric energy.  One Krana plant can hold four krana cores and power a human city in defilantly.  Another bonus is the krana does not seem to decay or deacys at a rate it would be thousands of years for a solid battery to disintergrate and an estimated 750 years before the first krana reactor even began to decreacse in efficancy.

Krana gas: Only little information known scienist on a research vessel experimented on it but once they finaly cuased the krana to gasous a huge explosion ripped the ship apart and a the blast could be seen from Higara.  Since that dreadful incident all species signed a treaty banning experiments on Krana gas.  Anyone who partake sin experiments on it will harshly punished in the most immeidate and extreme form.  

Magic:

Magic come in three forms life magic, natural maigc and wizerd magic.  Wizerds are the masters of magic and can control all forms of it, some say that wizerd magic is the most powerfuk but it is hard to know not mayn wizerds exist in today's world.  Some say they are dieing off, it is a mystery.
Natural Magic comes from nature and all things true to it.  Taking care of nature magic empowers your natural magic immensly.  Natural Magic has the power of Growth, Summoning, Healing, Enchantment, and Potion Making (able to be done by most mages but partictioners of Natural make the best potions.)  Life Magic comes from the living magic inside all sentient beings.  Life Magic is severly banned as is it needs sacrifices of living people to work.  Life magic from the Sacrifices is used only for one thing destruction.  The bigger your sacrifice the bigger the magic bomb that sets off.  This is a cumersome force for one mage to use, it also corrupts the soul of the mage that partakes in this.  Even minor mages and feel when this is used it feels like everyone in the world you held dear suddenly died for no reason.  It can often cause even the most cheerful  togo into bouts of depression.

RACES:  The known races of Higara are:

The Humans:  Each Humans stands anywhere form 5'6" to 6'4" tall, range in skin colors from pale white to tans and browns to black.  Eyes are a wide variety of color too.  Humans are renowned for curiosness, courage, intellignace and passion.  Some of the greatest and evilest characters in history were humans.  Humans have little or none life energy some humans practice natrual magic.  But few become very good, humans get by mostly through their invenitiveness to come up things to replace magic.  With the discovery of Krana humans have come from peasant villages to bustling cities and brave explorers.

Elfs:  Elves are old wise racethat benefit vastly form natural magic.  Elf castles are made from pure rock and marble drawn from the ground by some of the most powerful natural mages of the time.  Elf natural magic is very powerful not only holds control over the things of nature but the very elementals them selves.  Elves are about 4'10"-5'4" with exceptions.  Have mutliple colors of skins like humans and have even a wider variety of eye colors.  

Gnomes: Gnomes are the discovers of the Hypergate and are the foremost in knowledge of it and have greatly helped all the species expand to colonies.  Gnomes and cheerful clever, happy go lucky people, often stand a little shorter than elfs.  They love nature and like the elfs practice it strongly and have also done some great research into dechphering the languages on the Hyper Stone.  Gnomes have skin colors like elfs but are often paler.  Gnomes live in forest cities rather high above the ground.  (think ewoks but smarter).  Gnomes also have done a rather good job on inventing healing herbs for Krana radiation which has becom more of a problem now that it is being mined.

...Krana Based Weapons Schematics file opened...


KPEB Rifle: KPEB or Krana Produced Energy Blast is a new advencement combining minor laser technology and Krana tech.  A Laser is fired through a krana crystal with produces a inexplainable reaction in the crystal and a discharge out the other side based on size of oringinal Laser beam. The rifle version has an open Krana Crystal mounted on the end of the rifle where the barrel usually is.  Each crystal has about 50 charges before it's "glow" goes out meaning the red glow it usualy aminates goes dull and the crystal chanes color to clear.  

KPED Gatling Gun:  Same concept except larger gun chasis and three crystals are mounted on a rotating barrel.  The crystals are smaller but the rotations seem to give them a longer life.  The result is a stacado of small energy blasts that can overwhelm even the sturdiest personal defenses.  A very powerful weapon in skilled hands.  

NON Krana Based weapons...

MAP(Magnet Accelerated Projectile) Sniper Rifle:  A combination of magic and magnetic sciences.  Almost a meter long barrel lined with magnets held in place with binding magic.  A magic powered heat sensor is placed in a hole about the size of an index finger.  This is the trigger, a shooter inserts his finger in the hole and the detector causes the magnets to shoot out the five inch nickel spear that comes in 8 shot clips.

Blazer Rifle (Standerd among almost all soceities):  A wooden magic rifle.  A  elongated wooden shaft shaped like a short stubby spear with two hand holds( varies among species because of physical traits).  The back hand hold has a finger trigger, that causes the enchanter rifle to discharge a beam of pure magic energy.  Often causes wounds like 3rd degree burns and fatal.  (Power of blast depeneds on race that enchants the rifle.  Obviously a wizerd made or elf made will be much more powerful than a human made blazer.

I well im (EDIT) NOT setting this in stone if guys got opinions like if i changed this or that plus I need help figuring out how to balance humans and the other races. I just dont know what to do for the other races to make them as powerful as the humans.

[Beams are suspectible to bad weather rain often loose power and range when rain and snow block their path, Krana weapons seem to have this same disadventage but not as badly.]

Blazer Stick (Human Made)
Not usually used in the military because of its weak range and power.  Mostly used for police work because most shots will only stun targets.  Only a blow to the face will kill. 200 meter range. Roughly the size of a large handgun.

Blazer Stick (Elf Made)
A very powerful weapon comparable to Krana Lasers.  Has long range and often has a far seeing charm so that the soldier that aims with it often can see better at far distances.  Has many more charges than a Human Stick, similar to a KPED in size power and range. Easily recharged in the field by any mage skilled in military magic.

Blazer Sniper Rifle (Wizerd Made or High Elf made)
A shockingly powerful blazer its beams aren't even affected by the thickest adverse weather.  Can burn a hole in 3 inch steel and can effectively dismenber a man at more than 2000 meter range.

Heavy Blaze Stick (Elf made)  
A large heavy artilery weapon used in castles and mounted on ships, tanks and space craft.  Has decent power and can fire shots line of site or arched.

Veichle Mounted Blaze Stick (Elf made)
A beam stick with rapid fire rate mounted on a military war machine, comes in multiple sizes and power.  Lighter fire faster, heavy have more power but less fire rate.

Elven Space Craft:

A-2 Arrow StarFighter
A small agile fighter tear drop shaped fighter with four small wings sticking out diangonly from the fuselage.  Armed with four Light Blaze Sticks mounted on the wings.

Galley-Class Elven Light Carrier*****
Length: 740 meters
Width/Height: 200 meters
Craft: 48 A-2's
Weapons: 4 Heavy Blaze Sticks, 24 Light Point Defense Blazers.
Mainstay of Elven fleet can dish out damage and soak it up, also can throw out swarms of A-2's. The combination is a deadly space craft with respectable speed and maunverablility.  Shape is similar to a killer whale.

Also need two evil races and one completely alien race like different tech and all that cause their going to be outside of galaxy.

One evil race is on Higara the other is the one attacking some hypergate outposts/colonies.

Geography of Arila

Arila spans from central Delarvi to the to all the way to the North Eastern corner, in this span lay deserts on the borders then The Leayera Mountain range that cirlces the region in, in the that region reside the most elves because it full of deep forests and rivers.  Also deep in the center of the forest is Orinel the great elven city and stronghold.  Beyond the Leayera mountains is more desert and tundra.  Also along the Northern Sea above the Delarvi are mayn Elven ports.  The main Elven Launch pad for their space program is believed to be located somewhere in huge cavern in the SE Leayera Mountains.


Geography of Lokotmon this day Terran Empire
The Lokotmon region is a large expanse of mineral rich rolling hills and expanses of some of the finest soil to grow land on.  It boarders Arila, Isthirax (Drow Empire down south runs along the coast), and Gnome/Dwarf terrotory further west.  Lokotmon boards from north coast to south coast covering the equator and has tropical, temperate arid and tundra climates.  To the south the Mamming Hills are riddled with deep mines and ore proccessors(Large structures that turned raw ore into refined steel).  Most cities here are completely built around the military bases and mines.  Farther north are the great plains that are covered in farm land and small forests.  In the middle is the jungle not many tavel in the jungle because it is rumored that a dark wizerd resides in a large tower built of black steel.  Farther north are small villages and and the capitol, Stoeriax.  

Farther west are junles, swamps, deep forests, mountain ranges and the wild lands.  Not much is known about these regions.  

Photography was never invented so satellite imaging is impossible.

The TIA, Terran Inteligance Agency

Dictator Orsmout newly formed intel gathering agency, they operate outside the laws and respond only to the highest leaders of the TIA.  Technily a civilian organization all members are skilled warriors and assasins.   The TIA was responsible for the death of the entire royal family including children many men even those in the TIA are grieved by that.  But Jordan holds supreme rule most that oppose him are dispacted by the TIA.  TIA is also the chief researchers in Krana technology and its uses in weapons and startavel.  They are also the propaganda machine of the Empire.

The Itshirax (Drow)

The Itshirax or Drow are a very unsocial race but powerful none the less.  It is rumored that they have starships that work differently from Krana based tech. The average Drow is 3 meters tall and has teal to tan skin glowing red or gold eyes and speak telepathecly.  It is an odd sesantion hearing a Drow speak one never knows if it is in your head or if the Drow is actualy speaking.  It is rumored that when a Drow Soldier dies his body is recovered if possible and put in a hard four legged shell that reanimates the dead soldier and keeps him alive as an elite vetran.  The TIA has only seen these used in one major conflict with the Drow.  It was before the discovery of Krana and MAP tech and still under the rule of the old monarchy.  It was a slaughter, the Drow Attack Walkers or Death Riders as we've dubbed were equiped with heavy sticks with modern day power.  Each blast could kill a score of soldiers if the wereny stagered enough.  The average Drow Soldier is equiped with a stick and a short sword.  Also most Drow military units seem to be equiped with a shield unit.  We are not sure if this is magic or tech.  The Drow also seem to ahve starships that work without Krana tech. Our top mages have confirmed this is not magic.  We've built up a profile on what we've seen:

Pyramid-Class Scout Ship
A small pyramid shaped like scout ship, its been seen the most.  Over cities in ural areas.  Often crop cirles mark where one have been, we have no idea what the symbols mean but we think they are landing cordinates.  Our K-1's have challenged them only a few times.  They have great speed but very little in the way of shields or weapons it seems.

Demon-Class WarShip
A large bean shaped pod with two delta wedges extending from the front one it slight larger and the rear poited up the other is smaller and the rear is pointed down.  Two tubes stick out the end as engines and spray blue fire.  Its armed with a Drow equalevant of a Heavy Stick that produces a blue like ball of energy rather than a white beam.  In the only enngagment with this class it took no damage and destroyed one of frigates.  Their sheilds seem to be weak against MAP cannons.

Association to restore the monarchy in Lokotmon or A.R.M.L.
It is rumored one of the members of the royal family survived the coup.  Duke Leo Tesmari is the cousin to Prince William Tesmari, he was also a loayl Colonel to him and is rumored to have a strong influence over the vetrans of armed forces.  Our inteliagance believes he is responsible for the revolts in our two major cities.  He also was responsible for a raid on a tranport that held multiple Knight units.
