So, we are going to be running a military mecha campaign.
All characters are assigned the rank Sergeant in the Atlantic Federation Mecha Corps.
Congratulations you worthless bunch of maggots. Somehow you made it through basic, passed the exams to get into the mobile armor advanced academy, and then by the love of Sweet Baby Jesus you somehow survived the grueling Mechanized Academy, and have been assigned one of the greatest war machines to ever grace the face of this sweet blue green planet.
I don't care if you think it's an antiquated hunk of 50 year old junk, it's your mech. You are going to take care of it. It will take care of you. You are an unstoppable fighting force, an when the boys in suits get tired of shouting at each other over tables, we are the ones that are going to deal out some fully automatic 75mm diplomacy.
Please choose your mech from the list below:http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Wolfhound
A light mech, all energy weapons, runs hot, hunts power armor and infantryhttp://www.sarna.net/wiki/Sentinel
A very dated design, but a few remain in service, mostly in lower end garrisons. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Clint
Fast, armored scout, a common machine in the mecha reserves, the IFV to the MBT of the larger mechahttp://www.sarna.net/wiki/Centurion_(BattleMech)
The Centurion is no longer in production, but the remaining machines are incredibly tough, and remain in secondary and garrison units. It is not uncommon for the machines to pick up melee weapons, usually secondary issue mecha power axes.http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Wolverine_(BattleMech)
The Wolverine is a mainstay of the Federation Mecha corps. This is functional a Model 1 Wolverine, decades older than the machines on the front line.
If you have any special vehicle requests, IE a specific mech, PM me and we can discuss it. I am open to some less common machines being fielded, but this is going to be a rat-tag starting mission, so no experimental, no prototypes, and no Heavy or Assault mecha. (Corollary: i would be willing to discuss something in the 60-65 ton range, but with either a serious justification, or some sort of associated drawback, IE mecha flaw)
