Im in as well, though it seems Phil is unaware of some of the developments, such as the Barons attempts at communications.

Ah, we discussed that particular chain of events earlier, in the chatbox. Angus Justice shared the details of the Baron's offering earlier, including some details about what can be done at the Baron's.

The only thing he did not share was his status as Root.

As for the consistent pestering of the Baron, let me rectify that now that you are all patched up.

One question: how well can one hear in the medbay what others are doing in the Sue? E.g., whether I hear what the Sue says to Phil, etc.

Right now you are all in the same room, excepting Mortimer.

You can all hear what Mary Sue says to everyone except him.

Sometimes Mary Sue communicates with Angus via his mobile unit, and that you cannot read, unless he lets you.

One question: how well can one hear in the medbay what others are doing in the Sue? E.g., whether I hear what the Sue says to Phil, etc.

Not sure I wanna post about it, but Katherine tells Phil her thoughts regarding the Baron and cautions him against rash actions, especially given his current state (not afraid to poke the bandage to get my point across).

Hey guys. I need a little more in-character communication. At least, while we're not being beset by raiders and telepathic mutant scum.

Basically, for Rebecca to develop, I need interaction.
She's written as being withdrawn - but that was a necessity at the station, laying low and slipping out of mind to live.
On Earth, this is no longer the prime directive, but it's so easy to stay on the trodden path.

So, poke please :)

Mini-update for Murometz:

After the gunfight a week passed in relative quiet. During that week Angus started seeing Theodora in addition to Wionna. Wionna turned out to be rather emotional and unstable, and in the end Angus left both Theodora and Wionna and woved to stop doing coke.

Katherine went on a subsea adventure and came back with treasure.

Rebecca befriended a pack of dogs, defeated their alpha and became their leader (the dog pack is not on board the Mary Sue, Echo).

Mortimer snuck out of camp, stole a truck and returned a week later with supplies. That saved him from Phil's ire.

Phil spent the week strategizing, and redecorating your crash site.

Meanwhile Angus fixed the AI, and got himself installed as the secret root. Wionna and Moa fixed the Mary Sue, as they were the engineers that built her.

Mortimer left the camp site, and Moa, having a crush, went to find him. She found a G'Kraun Prophet instead, and was mentally possessed by its immense psychic power.

In the battle that followed, Phil put Moa in a coma, Mortimer was nearly torn apart by the Prophet and Katherine put two extremely well placed shots in the Prophet's chest, killing the thing.

Right now Katherine and Theodora (the Copernicus second in command doctor) have finished surgery and first aid on the party.

Mortimer is now fully healed. Full-y.
Phil has a gunshot wound in his left shoulder. He can move the arm, but doctors orders are to let it rest. It is currently in a bandage.
Angus is unharmed, in withdrawal, currently the secret master of Mary Sue and in contact with the Baron
Katherine is slightly aching from her stomach wound, but not much.
Rebecca felt the full mental assault of the Prophet, and nearly perished. She burst vein in her eye, and in her nostrils, and looked like hell. But her wounds were not fatal, and Katherine fixed her up. She is shaken, but sound.

As for the extras:
Aunt and Uncle Bradshaw-Brennan are both doing well. They are slightly shaken, but safe.
Wionna is unhurt, physically, but on the verge of a breakdown emotionally. She is showing signs of mental unstability.
Moa is in a coma.
Theodora Sax is as composed as Katherine. She is not following Angus around, and seemed to just enjoy some physical contact more than anything else.

Right now the Mary Sue is suspended in the air above the crash site. The Bradshaw-Brennans have moved the camp onboard, and only the dog pack and the trucks are left behind.

Returning cars to the Baron:

Are you sure you want to do this?
Those cars have a huge bartering value, especially the nuclear Sedan.

The car rigging is a great idea, and likely to work since no one would suspect such a huge waste of bartering goods.

If you did it, I simply rule that you rigged the Sedan and left the cars where you left them, THEN called the Baron and told him about it.

No point in roleplaying it further than simply stating that you did it.

Ok, then I suggest we return the modified sedan, and hide the rest in the ruins :) We'll get it back if we topple the Baron anyway.

There's no chance that I might actually have warned the party earlier? I mean, I posted about doing an active scan - but I do kinda feel like it was futile because they're already on top of us anyway.
Just sayin, my fault for not scanning everything a.s.a.p.; but - I get to roll to pick up a lone G'Kraun passively as established in the first scene with the Prophet, but not a hundred?

Because of your angle. The Doors are at floor level. You are higher than that.

You might tell the Mary Sue to crash through the steel grid floor if you want. best warn Phil and them first.

Echo: The Prophet probed you and you detected him. These G'kraun are not telepathic.

Really, Katherine got warning,  but Took the safest route home.

Really, Katherine got warning,  but Took the safest route home.

I'm gonna go ahead and not take that as pegging it all on me, because I hope that's not what it was intended as.

1) I did try to see what kind of creature had come for me, had I seen it, I wouldn't have gone for a shower the first thing I did, which of course in retrospect looks bad but I'm not keen on freezing to death either. And even if I hadn't it wouldn't have made much difference, you wanted a surprise attack to happen after all.

2) Safest, fastest, the ONLY way. How was I supposed to know any other route? Any of those two doors could have led me further into the complex. And I couldn't have flown out because you closed the hangar doors, plus I'm betting the cold air wouldn't have been any better had I flown.

3) I was unarmed seeing as water and revolvers don't mix, hence I wasn't keen on taking "whatever was growling" on alone and unarmed either. Wasn't about to blindly experiment if the jetpack happened to have a gun when under duress.

4) Que cera cera.

I'm sorry that this came off a bit touchy, but that's probably an accurate description of my current state anyhow, ruffled feathers. I felt I needed to clarify my position, so there.  :Thud:

Oh, thanks for the explanation. I thought I'd get a passive roll to detect when someone nearby was being phoned by a telepath; I see now it only applies if he messes with me.

Ancient Gamer: Will post results of round one after 193 has posted

Also, we had a little dispute, and because people did not realize the layout of the silos and armory, I let y'all rewind 10-30 seconds.

This resulted in Angus NOT manning the gatling, but throwing an excellent grenade instead.
Also, Rebecca and Mortimer are no longer trapped in the armory. That was merely a premonition, and Rebecca realized they had to get outta Dodge, quick. Rebecca and Mortimer are now with Phil, Katherine and Angus. All 5 together at last.

193, you are up.

--> No. Merely stating facts. :)

1) I did try to see what kind of creature had come for me, had I seen it, I wouldn't have gone for a shower the first thing I did, which of course in retrospect looks bad but I'm not keen on freezing to death either. You are all free to post now.

The Mary Sue has settled into a hover in the silo, with the ramp extended down to the jammed door. Beneath the waters are dark with G'Kraun blood.

In the corridor:
the door to the armory (and control room) is open.
the hitherto unexplored door on the left is still closed.
the previously open double doors into the silo next door is closed, again.

People have asked for rope.

You found that spool of steel wire in the armory.

With your current armor and excellent gloves, you CAN climb using that wire as rope.

If you write that you put it in your backpack, AND put it in your equipment, well then you officially got rope.

A 50 meter long rope even (150')

***

Also, if you are unsure about what to do next, this post here detailed your options regarding advancing further into the facility:

OR

  • You could retreat altogether, flying low to evade the fightercraft with Sandra the Cyborg in it.

OR

  • You could retreat altogether, shooting down Sandra the Cyborg first using the SAM battery.

Your choice, players.
