Death, all around her. Humanity had destroyed the world, but that wasn't enough, they had to keep on killing eachother over the scraps that was left. This wasn't right, why couldn't they see that? She remembered Heavenly Haven, a paradise lost. Cement flakes raining down on her, dug loose by errant shrapnel. Her covered head resting on Elvis's flank, eyes closed tight, a single tear shed for the mindless violence that permeated this time.

Same as before, total defense.

Marcus smashed at his guard with his axe and connected this time, hitting him hard and knocking him back against the wall where he slumped.

Asha's and Anya's shots both hit the submachinegun wielding guard, though only Anya's drew blood.  The sub-machine gun once again fell to the floor while its owner attempted to staunch his chest wound with his hands.  He lost the battle quickly and fell over.

The battle was over.

Marcus was shivering a little, and small coils of smoke rose from his arm.  "What the hell are those things?" he said, kicking at one of the batons on the floor.

Asha quickly switched pistol mags, keeping an eye on the fallen enemies as she did so, rising to her feet and giving Ayna and Marcus an approving nod, pausing as she noticed the lack of Carnegie or Elvis, the trail of blood quickly leading her to their location in the elevator. "Anyone else hurt?" She asked, giving Elvis a worried look before seeing Carnegie had the situation well in control for now. "Did the shot go clean through or is it still inside him?" She looked over at the downed enemies but trusted Ayna and Marcus could search their bodies easily enough.

"Where was he hit? We can take him back to the town sawbones for surgery if it's bad or he still has a slug in him."
